When you broke
The paramedics couldn't tell the difference
Between my hands
And the shattered glass I was clutching,
Because the rainbow shards
That made up my heart blended with yours
And they laughed at us for being foolish enough
To think that letting the light shine through
Our impure glass hearts
Was a good idea.
Last night,
my psychiatrist told me,
i was a brave girl.

I can't help but wonder,
how much she was paid,
to say this,
to all the other
girls
too.

"the world will end not with a bang, but with a whimper."

i say,
the world,
will end in war --
when man's greed becomes flames under his touch,
and he can no longer keep it in the palm of his hand.
for human hands were never meant to hold the weight of disasters,
and neither were they made to hold a gun or a blade.

i say,
the world,
will end in battle --
when land turns against land,
brother against brother,
for ideas would run thicker than blood,
though nothing could rival blood's flowing abundance.

i say,
the world,
will end in victory.
when the only salvation is a purge, though the hammer will not fall under the touch of man, for he is too self-preserving;
but under the pull of the earth.

when she takes matters into her two palms, polarized and unpretty.
she will rip herself into pieces,
she will tear herself from the core,
she will burn in her own flames.

but she,
she will emerge victorious over her own children.
she will cleanse herself, she will be made pure again.
she will rise from the red waters of her own shredded veins,
and she will eat men like air.

she will be reborn.
she will win.
this poem is very very heavily influenced by one of the poems from my favourite poet of all time, sylvia plath's "lady lazarus".
just wondering when we reach that age
a permanent member, sixtyzen
forgetting where we placed that toothbrush
and wearing that thick eyeglasses

blood and sugar pressure coming up
visits to a dentist is a must
keeping fit..nah..should be
exercise to a T..whooo...

but don't worry, life is a journey
leave it to the ONE above
sixtyzen is a prize, a treasured catch
others will follow our path, don't give up..
sixtyzen is my own coined word for sixty and citizen (LOL)
I wish I didn't feel so much
Because only now that I let you go
Does it truly feel like I'm falling
Silently lie in the grass,
On the hill above the lights.
Steal a kiss,
In between ,
Each drag on this cigarette.
And
Let's
Take bets on which is more
Dangerous.
I am torn between
Running to your door
And telling you I love you
Face to face
Or
Crawling in my bed
And whispering I love you
From far away

**(I wonder which one you would hear better)
I want you to do the same

I want you to love me better
If I had the words
A gift of wings that would not fail
Set my sword
To perforate the veil
Cut this clinging death away
Let the light fall like rain
Solace on a summer day
But I’m bound
Dragging shackles and chains
Starving for grace
As I choke on the profane

Sacrificed my petty dreams
Bled out on the altar of fools
Propitious as light might have been
I let darkness set the rules
Circumstance stultifies the child inside
Nullifies the need
To hope for a greater salvation
My spirit fights but my head concedes
Lost in the chaos around me
If I surrender who will lead

And if by chance you went walking
Through the shattered past I’ve left behind
Pick your way through emotional wreckage
Find my inner child deaf dumb and blind
This failing hope will not carry me
As I struggle toward the light
And so I wait abandoned
As the world spins fast toward night.
I know the truth you cannot see
What I carry hidden in me…

Morose and peppered with self loathing. But HEY it rhymes....sorta
Reality
That stone cold word
That ***** out all your life

Reality
Is this world
With hunger, pain and strife

Reality
Is when you see
That beggar on the street

Reality
Is when you know
That you must admit defeat

Reality
Is death and loss
And not knowing what comes after

But Reality
Can be fun
And filled with joy and laughter

Reality
Is the time you spent
With everyone you love

Reality
Is lying down
And seeing the stars above

Reality
Is a perfect day
Where nothing seems amiss

Reality
Is your first love
Or marriage's sealing kiss

Reality
Is good and bad
Depending how you see it

Reality
Is what you want
If you just have the spirit
I don't really like reality (until we all gain wizard powers), but as far as I`m concerned this poem speaks the truth.
