Dead they lay
abandoned in a storm
wrong turn
precious babies
****** unturned
O wind, unseen courier,
vault of sorrow and song—
rise from the quieted earth,
where hunger braids itself into ribs,
where mothers cup empty hands
as if they could cradle the moon.

Rush through iron-clad cities,
where glass towers drink gold
while children sip the night for supper.
Drag the scent of burning forests
through chambers where power feasts—
let no throat swallow without the taste of ruin.

O wind, tear through borders,
where names are flayed from skin,
where home is a word lost in translation.
Sweep through courtrooms
where justice kneels to coin,
where verdicts fall like loaded dice,
where mercy is a language
long buried beneath the floorboards.

Howl through locked doors,
where love turns to bruises,
where silence weighs heavier than chains.
Rush the alleys, the streets, the rooftops,
where daughters walk with their eyes downcast,
where the night is a mouth
swallowing their names whole.

O wind, press your hands
against the windows of kings,
against suits spun from war-fed gold.
Let them hear the ghost-cries
of forests bled dry,
the bones buried beneath their neon arteries.

Whisper into the ears of emperors:
How many graves must the earth drink
before they call it enough?
How many oceans must rise
before we finally see
the wreckage in the mirror?

O wind, roar—
drown the speeches,
scatter the lies,
tear blindfolds from gilded eyes.
Make the world listen.
Make them remember.

Or let the silence bury them instead.

Wrote this for a program on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a call for justice, a cry for the unheard, and a reckoning for the world that turns away. Let the wind carry this truth. Let the world not just hear, but act.
GOING ON WITH ME

never did like
my own
birthday

all that cakes
and candles
stuff

you could keep it
strictly
for the birds

every day was
my birthday
far as I could see

Birthdays...
who'd
have 'em....eh

but to have one
is the only way to go
on to be someone

miss one and
you're gone
out like a candle

every birthday
always called
my Mam

after all she did
all the hard work
when push came to shove

all I did was arrive
thank her for
having me

"Ahhh  go on with ya!"
she'd forever
laugh

this always the best
bit of my birthday
celebrating my mother
We are still creatures,
bound by the rules of logic,
superficial commitments
boil the truth.
Make the jump,
but only with full grasp!
Am I losing important links?

Is it that my intuition
is screaming?
Or is it just dry envy
whispering
that I am too weak
to be so good?
Am I seeing something more?
Or was it just the usual nightmare?

The realm of values
and the physical world
is being distorted like
Dalí’s dream.

My nightly vision was so clear:
Something was absorbing
thoughts of human beings,
under smooth talks,
tender words.

They left the untouched bodies
and the skulls white.

All were made
to break down the structure
from the inside.
What are the hidden reasons,
on a small and larger scale?

We live by metaphors,
blindly believing
that the reason is still strong.
But some things only appear innocent,
shaping sharp rocks.
All the answers,
I asked for a new pen,
If you lose this one
You will write with your finger.
Once I asked mum,
Let's have dinner somewhere out,
She put my plate out on the doorstep,
Enjoy your dinner.
I was in a negative mood that day,
Refused to eat rice and curry,
Demanded pizza,,
Good you are going to share your food,
The birds are hungry,
They will enjoy your meal,
And your dad can have the extra portion of your curry,
I am proud of you.
If dad had to punish or ground us,
Silently she made sure he had done the needful,
Or he was grounded from entering their bedroom.
Mum was a woman of few words and lots of action.

Getting older and older,
Moving beyond seventies,
And I like it,
I feel lucky,
Not many have the opportunity.

if we only could see
each other's needs
then maybe we'd have
a bit more sympathy

if we focused on those
who feel all alone
love them and hug them
giving them hope

then we could start
in the softening of hearts
i'm sure it would work
if we all played our part

focus our help
on somebody else
seek others needs
more than ourselves

we really should know this
giving hope to the hopeless
stand up for what's right
make it our fight

open our hearts
to each other's needs
then maybe we'd have
a bit more sympathy

It's a reality when it is observed
It is unreal if no one sees
Even imaginary is unreal
but feels as if it is not.
If real is not real, why do I feel
we are running to acquire nothing
Are we onto something being
driven to see nothing sticks for long enough
If what I have doesn't make me happy
I manifest things with great yearning
But when I acquire, it just loses its lustre
Becomes painfully ordinary, are we onto anything?

we are participating in this life
It is real or fictitious, maybe both
we perceive it in our mind
Likely we have different insights
The echoes of our actions in a fleeting sound,
We bark out like a wounded hound.
We chase the shadows, of a promised light,
And grasp at substance, that dissolves in night.
The questions linger, in this hollow space,
Is meaning woven, or a fleeting grace?
Perhaps the journey, is the only truth we find, we are onto nothing,
A constant searching, of a restless mind.
