A puff of cigar in, mist, out
on the street, shrouding the
tracks and missed heart aches;

this morning, time,
is not kept by the ticking clock.

Only one vehicle has crossed the road.

Mellow sun warming up the snow
forever burying the tracks out;

The stubble's scruffy, and heart,
as dishevelled as the sheets;

Empty cups, full of memories -
and stained of the night's wine;

In the corners the embers still crackle:

leaning back on ease chair,
wondering
who it was that left early
this misty morning;
Classic noir: served with morning coffee.

In that incredible moment
Nothing could take away the fact
That I could finally stand there and say

I've watched enough mornings
I've cried enough evenings
I've had enough birthdays
To know what I want

And mean it

As I had my cake and ate it too
I felt the warm gaze of the entire ballroom
And heard their loving applause
Echoing in my ears

Unleashed was the glory
I'd somehow always had
I don't think I've ever been quite so glad
To accept the cherry on top
For exactly what it is

Savour every bit
Take care to not care
Although it might be far away
It will still be there

love as purest love
is as white as flight of dove
over land of dreams

dove is a symbol of love,
peace, pure heart,
innocence

Even the most beautiful flower
Needs to be daily showered with water
For it to grow lovelier
Or else it will wither.

Just like our dreams and aspirations,
We need daily inspirations
For us to keep going
Or else our hearts will stop hoping.
Let us make our dreams come true. Gather every bit of inspiration we can get so we can still pursue and fight for what we really long to have. Don't give up, don't lose hope! :)

I cry out for a poem
and the universe is silent

she watches on
as I flounder

then accept
today, she is not talking
