A wrong word, a comma out of place
Misspelled, hyphenated, split into two
English sometimes a second language to me

A conversation taken too far
Stop! Don't tell that tale, now hindsight playing on your mind
What if they tell my parents, a big mouth I sometimes have

A joke, somebody's you heard on television
Don't try and make it your own
Its universal, you look like a fool, its out in the cosmos

A chat-up line, cheesy but sincere, will she even laugh
She smiled, now go away, try harder
Your persistence now overwhelming, time to cut that cord

The older you get, you then start to realise
Most things really are not worth it
The chase, the charm, what did you expect, no finish line in the race

To watch the ruler of the free world elected by the rabble
He says what he wants, laughed off in a tirade
But how long will he last by stating these massive promises

Yes we have all said something and thought back on that
Did that actually just come out of my mouth?
Yes, it really did, as on this Earth, hell,

Hold on to that last thought
It could be your best
Save yourself from falling
Gulping the air back from your chest
Every second of life
Is this all just a test
As were only here once so savior
Every last drop of breath

Death
  It happens
   No avoiding it
      Who's gonna miss you?
Well lets stay and find out
Fake it and hide at the funeral
And see who really cared for you fool
Who sheds a tear or who's just for a beer
Your jokes were risky but with good humour
Some walked away but no one would really tell ya
You larked around and sometimes pushed the limits
Well that's just life and that's just the way it sometimes is
Never to grow up and still acting like one of the daft kids
Living life without a care oh yes ignorance really is bliss
even my neighbour turned up over my Uncle and Aunt
Surprising as he hated my music well my Robert Plant
Well even the Gooner turned up as football is respect
He wouldn't even bite even if it was on a daft text
So this is the showing that I have amount too
Me stuck in a bush watching this rabble cry
I'm actually flattered that they even tried
Should I reveal myself to spoil the gig
Just to show me to be a selfish pig
I'm honoured I really truly am
              Shame about the sandwiches
              Pickled onions with Spam
            Think I'll stay alive
             As the foods bad
              No party now
               So overrated
               Is death
                R.I.P.
There are more dead people than living. And their numbers are increasing. The living are getting rarer - EUGENE IONESCO, Rhinoceros

We all want to live the high life, but few can ill afford it
The glamour the glitz to dining at the Ritz, a means to which we could all be easily adjusted
But the nine till five pays pittance for those shots in Hello and Vogue
The dreamer can dream their dreams while living off that hefty loan

The Range Rover, the Levante, the Lexus RX, who wouldn’t be jealous of a little luxury
The clothes to the house with security and lights, boy you must be worth a few pennies
Erroneousness and the falsehood of a life well concealed
Paying back that percentage rate from which you may now reel

The reality is your just keeping up with the Jones's
Penny pinching is a way of life but best not show the neighbours
Walk on with your head held high in the knowing that all’s not good
Struggling to pay the bills and sometimes even your food

So here comes the bail out from someone close by
Indebted to your eyeballs without the decency to even cry
The banks would laugh at your misgivings knowing the debt was in their hands
But you carry on, it’s a way of life hanging onto that final strand

You’re in the clear, all debt is gone, time to make a fresh new start
A second hand Fiesta, *** burns in the seat, what happened to my big shiny car
The mums at the gate all talking in sneers, now that I’m out of the pack
Fill out that online form, more credit to burn, time to get back on track,
and revitalize that false front.

Monday
Its going to start
The diet
I'll try it
No
I'll blast it
How hard can it be
Nutrition
Carbs
Vitamins C through to Z
Go for a run
That'll be fun
Join a boot-camp 3 times a week
10 burpys
10 timed runs
10 press-ups
Bring it on
The short lived enthusiasm starts to wain
I work in an office everyday on the train
The mornings hurt
Oh the pain!
I'll try it again when the urge starts to ******
When the clothes start to pinch and its time for a wiggle
Everyday life just getting in the way
When the office is going for a lunchtime run I'd rather just sit
Bring on that day when its just a click of the wrist
Yeah, I know, whatever,

Far from Fit

Sometimes you just gotta say “**** it” and eat some pizza - Every gym user
We all have our favourite something
Be it a piece of jewellery, probably your wedding ring
Some even a favourite parent
One from hell, the other heaven sent
Sometimes its a piece of fruit
Strawberrys on cereals? Blueberrys are a better suit
Or even a best friend
Some go on but others fit the trend
Whats your favourite film?
The one and only North by Northwest
Hitchcock also done The Birds, its hard to pick the best
Football has its one and only's
Once Premiership winners Blackburn Rovers or the mighty Burnley
Go on then, pick a colour that suits you
Depending on the weather, a nice bright pink or a moody dark blue
Your 'go to' shop or you fancy a change in perspective
Look at you go, a fighter that never quits
Hell, we could go on forever in picking our bestist habits
But its what suits now, not a forever in our all-time-favourites

Sat idle in my stand,
watching,
waiting,
on the rest of the band
A quiet wooden box of strings
Humble and shining, just ready to do my thing
They plod through the acoustics, oh such a bore
It's time to let rip baby, gimme some power chords!
As the hits keep coming, soon to take my bow
Let's deafen these crazed punters, let me start this row
As you thought that noise was Mr Marshall all at the wrong settings
Uh-uh dear listeners, it's my veins just over jetting
Pick me up you freak, finger me into some heavenly patterns
So let's rock,
let's roll,
and let this frustrated cut out do its feedback chatting

He was the first to score a hatrick on the newest astroturf pitch
He was the first on his new BMX to jump that ***** ditch
He  was the first to kiss the best looking girl in the school
He was the first that all kids thought he was cool

She was the first to have the Rainbow Collection of My Little Pony
She was the first to lend me her toys as mine were all phoney
She was the first to be picked for the school netball team
She was the first to date the boy on the bike we all thought was a dream

Looking back they deserved each other as they were the first to be divorced
A love so pictured, so fragile, it was almost movie scored
So no to be the first to everything in sight
I'm happy in my own little world just taking my own flight

From first to last, nothing will be remembered in the past

Pick a team from the local to the ten counties away
Inherited from your father or defiant like no other
Typical football fan that likes a bit of banter
No way I’ll be the same as my brother

Be it a County or a Town, there will always be days where you’ll have to frown
From striker to the keeper, mistakes are made where someone acted the clown
But when Saturday comes that will all be forgotten
Hat-trick from the Spaniard you’re once again smitten

The rivalries increase from City to United
Yours will always be the best team well that’s what your dad said
From the Celtic to the Rangers down to the Arsenals and the Hotspurs
Trouble has brewed for years without a kick-start or a stir

And then the billionaires stepped in and made it a business
Money to be made from the working class through to the Stubhub ticket
The tout on the street is an illegal source of income
Whack on a tax and the Governments blind eye is now looking handsome

So how far can this escalate with wages and ticket price entry
The first player worth a billion is only a few years away
Stadiums that hold a capacity where nobody can actually see
You think I’m making a joke, it’s all on the horizon believe me,
It’s a way of life,
Football

I could speak to you tomorrow for an hour or two
See you next week and wouldn't know it was you
Any distinctions go right over my head
From a great big nose to something you said
You could stand out in the crowd
With a rainbow telling the world you are proud
But to me you are just another forgotten face
No recollection of time nor place
You could be the nicest of guys or a bit of a ****
No matter what, we should all wear a name tag

Some ages are well worth waiting for
Eighteen
Teenage dream
Twenty one
A bit more fun
Thirty
Starting to feel the derogatory of staying out and being *****
And then life comes tumbling down into an everyday frown
A ten year thought on what do I do next?
How to avoid the rat race and start myself, be the best
Kids start to appear as your Fridays soon disappear
Dragged into the everyday monotony that we always once feared
You start looking at petrol prices in comparison each other
Knowing its 6 pence cheaper so worth a trip to your brothers
But when you switch them around life was good at Thirty Four
Still managing to give it some on the dancefloor
But that all changes when we hit that number Forty
And then they just roll into an everyday synchronicity
As the days start to become meaningless
You forget what it was like to have that first kiss
And now I dwell on age that must have some hope over its hill
That has purpose, a light, a brand new skill
And I know that cause is my reason to avoid the pub and bar
For that ray of sunshine is my little girl
My one and only,
Clodagh

Not all yours but at first glance it looks like they are your fine pile
Lanzarote, Greece, even the Tower called Eiffel
Clumped together like a map of exceeding heats
From Lisbon down to Cape Town
Tell me of these differing seats

Did you really fly through the depths of the Grand Canyon
Or take a helicopter to that quiet place known as the Scilly Islands
Yet venture the climbing follies around Ben Nevis
And take a gondola ride around the canals of Venice

The adventure parks known as Chessington and Alton Towers
Where the rides left a taste that came out as sour
Your friends have bought you such distance as OZ and NZ
Where they'd be flying in the sky and you'd be at home in your bed

One day I will have the money and aspiration to fly to such a place
For now I will let the young adventurers fly away with such grace
As I seem to be grounded without the bank-to-fly
Do I really want to thoroughly say goodbye?

Hmm, Well I know what you mean
I'm slightly batty to have crazy yet ambitious dreams
So don't poke around my passport looking for stamps to check
As like lies on my fridge magnet door, I haven't been there yet

Fridge Magnets (most of them are fibs you know)

(The monotone)
Wondering if this really is all a bad dream
(Feels like a lobotomy)
Work so dull I just want to scream
(Someone please clobber me)
My thoughts so dusty and dry

A word that is new to me,
Crept up like a bug over the China seas,
Where a chunk of the land have now been put on this epidemic called furlough,
You'll soon get your job back, in this temporary new low
So the Government has promised to pay us eighty percent
Yeah, thanks Mr Johnson, that still just about covers my rent
And back to work with a tax increase so large to pay for this mess
Its coming people, mark my words, don't believe a word that politician says

Those automatic doors slide aside
A nod from the cashier sat reading a TV Guide
You don't want food but it's always worth a look
Ten glass doors of refrigerated crap
Might have a bite and forget that diet book
From a Ginsters cheese and onion slice
To a Scotch egg with Coke, I wouldn't think twice
Still forty five miles from wife and my home
This'll plug that gap, from some microwave dinner and her everyday moan
A quick glance at the mags including Readers Wives and the over Sixty Fours
Hell, why look up there, that's what the mobile phones are for
So sat in my Volvo XC90 in the car park just stuffing my face
We've all done it knowing its a selfish disgrace
That secret pre eating of food which we all really and truly embrace
And of the self rightous it would really really annoy
But you only live once,
you naughty naughty boy.

No
Nothing is
Time is the conundrum that unravels certain things
350 million years and then, ta da!
The steam engine
Yeah, that took time
OK, so there was nobody about for a while
Maybe God isn't as clever as he thinks
Dinosaurs
Mass global deconstruction in its weather conditions
Ice-Age
Demolition on Planet Earth
Lets start again
Humans
They'll be fun!
Throw some religion into the mix
Oh, and jealousy, a good story needs some jealousy
And blood
And weapons
Where is this ship heading
Phase 3?
Could well be on the horizon soon
God needs to whistle to a different tune
Maybe were just a chapter in an all beings stupid little book
Whats next
Lets a have a peek, come on, just a little look

Its been a long night
The ones you fancied have left in fright
Anything'll do now
A fat one,
A badly dressed one,
A four kids at 22 one,
A Mackie Dees for breakfast one,
A ITV2 is my favourite channel one,
I just need reassurance and some fake love
Enough to just top me up
To keep me going from the break up I never saw coming
For this is now a kingdom with no rule,
So my love,

Of what decendants do we come
Were we first
Are we last
Scrapped from the depths of his doledrums
Just a test and game for him to play
Does he have other worlds
Full of creatures that might make your toes curl
As gruesome as your inner most thoughts
Or a brother and sister of whom he may have taught
Do we coinside with a billion other types of universe
Spinning and just whirling
All kept in a case
Just shelved to keep them smiling
And answer me this young thing of whom I know not speak
Who watches on him who thinks he guards us

As a timepiece is under the auctioneers hammer
He repeats the words, going, going, gone, in his usual daily grammer
For we as people are not set in stone
The dinosaurs ruled but now all that is left is bone
If your drink is half empty or always half full
No matter what, no one can escape our final curtain call
And all those pills you take can only delay our inevitable ending
Go make those last apologies, to a life beyond now mending
But to end on a high, some of us really did live in our prime
Now to watch that clock tick down, we had a pretty good time
So if you think you've been low and often down trodden, fear not
You will always be a legend my son, and yes,
Gone,
But never forgotten

The Turkish barbers are moving in
We've left it too late, better take it on the chin
Like sharks circling blood with that killer fin
Soon to be tarred trash as it falls into the bin
What has this once great land now sadly become
As I count down wearily from my finger to my thumb
And how the WOKE brigade have dampened our cheeky fun
Whilst migrants land daily and straight on the run
I repeat so sadly
Oh, my England
I say goodbye my old chum
Oh my Lord, what have you become...
Goodbye England

A laugh, some fun, not always a bit of that

Sometimes leads to nookie, just to show you they care

Meet up in the morning, a coffee at Costas inside Next

Silence is sound I sometimes crave the most,
I sit in another room,
With stillness,
Just light,
Not a creak to be heard or angst within sight

Such passion, such roar
Let me just feel my softcore
As those clatterings can carry on elsewhere
Empowered in such grace
Sometimes you do not have to see it's face
To just know it's the kind of future for you

As I lay down here just looking up at the sky
The fields all surround me with their beauty
A natural aroma that sometimes can hold you
Can warm you,
Can charm you,
And now have seen you through,
Away from the surrounds that have just become,

Graceless

Didn't need no trouble from these two cowboy feet
As I'll **** any mother with a price on their head

And when that bounty is filled, I'll hand you over to the paying one

Hitting speeds that'll burn up the roads tar
That we'll fly from country to country among the night skies
Landing a thousand miles away for American burger and fries
We'll speak through glass screens that he once saw on Thunderbirds

You many not have heard the name as its not up there with Gardner or Ms.Hepburn
But this Jewish lady a lot we could certainly learn

Coming through a war which persecuted her kind
A career in acting her first go to but not her true bind

I mean, what could a woman do to change the tides of time
Make the first ****** movie and be barred from the shelves of prime

Titled "The Worlds Most Beautiful Woman" yet not acclaimed for her genius
Put on show as the lady who just wanted Clarke Gable's kiss

No, she had a lot more to for us to see and follow
As this woman's depths were hardly that of shallow

You think your phone is modern day wit and hard grind
This lady had the future in her head with all of this in mind

We marveled at how our gadgets all worked wirelessly on this thing called Bluetooth
She had this written down in a 40's laboratory, the Gods honest truth

Looking to where has a signal because you can't get your WiFi
Hedy had this equated and sussed before Vodaphone even tried

You'll be thinking next that GPS was invented by 2 guys Tom-Tom
How disappointed you would be and completely Wrong (Wrong)

Sometimes I feel genius is too weak a word for a person with such heroism and valour
Rising through what she had to do even if it was a version of Samson and Delilah

Look up this beauty of a time that is nearly forgotten
As there is a lot to learn from a lady so overlooked and almost downtrodden

Never let your genius be dismissed and shunned from afar
Because the world needs people like the once beautiful and quietly inspirational,

That grumbling roar of a voice not so pure
Always moaning on the phone whilst listening at the door
The world upsets him on almost every level
For that is not his voice but one who asides with a devil
We all gossip that he never ever stops
But somebody else is crossing his Tee's and feeding his daily rot
He maybe nice but from years of endless nagging
A silent mistress behind the scene feeding his needless slagging
As she was once a nurse but really no Marie Curie
For she feeds him her woes and her strife now vented in his fury.

It's for what you stand and to show that emblem
For I am real and not some concept
Not a freak of nature that looks inept
You have mayonaisse at a sandwich party
Just rise above the rest because you're a bit arty-farty
Wearing a leotard sat on top a double-decker
Shout at the judgementals like you're Boris Becker
Forgot to shave but still wear that skirt
Look at the men with a mind just filled with utter dirt
Never mind my on show Adams apple
It's just another man in me that I'd love to blindly grapple
But the world is coming to this way of thinking
Instead of hiding in a hole where I once was sinking
Struggling with a size eleven stilleto in Next
Jazz up my shoes to whatever suits best
Stood outside the club, cold, smoking my ***
This is what I was born to be, I'm just a young hag.

Watching the high street bustling by
I'm not sure if I'm disgusted, ill digested or just want to cry
The buildings, the streets, the people, all want to make me weep
The Turkish barbers, the tattoo parlour,
All just a front they must keep
Friends with carers, soon with pallbearer, a life they cannot lead alone
Sat on street corners, dealers with quarters, all nattering on their mobile phones
Most smoking a vape, different flavours to take
So many races I could not name
Nowhere to park
The place an old mask
Of a generation now mostly all gone
Just jump online
Amazons just fine
For those shoes to be dropped at my door
We just sit in our seats

Some even nonplussed as this is anything but fetching
How to wow a crowd in 5 minutes without sounding preachy
Revert to Powerpoint as a distraction technique
I'm trying to give myself here at the height of my peak
To anyone of any faith, Christian, Muslim or Sikh
The whole point of me being here is to sell my goods to the crowd
I'm here to teach as my product is at its best
You've seen the others all fallen from the same nest
Now look at mine with that extra bit of wow, pizzazz and zest
So this is the part that come Au Natural and you cannot teach
I need the people in front of me in awe and at my feet as this is,

How to Write a Speech....

We all tick to a different tock
Couples match but some are odd socks
One loves opera the other heavy rock
From Indie Bripop onto hip-hop
Out on a Saturday,
She in jeans
Him in her frock
We all get on by any means given
And that's just it my friend
Got to enjoy the life we are livin'

Human

JJB
Hunting like a velociraptor
Easy prey to bed and capture
Decent of man in the realm of a no good
Devouring the weak like a ***** given free food
Snarling like a lion on the bones of his carcass
The weak lay still,
out talked by this circus
This kind of man kills all will and promised light
To the bewildered and weak,
who have given up on they're daily fight

I

I
I am me and nothing else
I do as I please and **** the rest
I can be selfish but also a really nice chap
I speak no ills and cut out the crap
I want to be loved but can go without
I want to be in town but I live far out
I want the perfect job but sat here with a dream
I had it all in my head until I hit the real life screen
I look at the celebs and wonder just how
I cry myself to sleep with the sweat on my brow
I want to be everything that I am not
I wonder why we are given these dreams in a chase where we all one day stop
I wonder
I ponder
I dream,
Man do I dream.

A two for one bargain but is it really worth buying?
Let me have a think, yes, I am England
His new girlfriend seems nice but I prefered his exe's likes
Let me ponder this change, as, I am England
His greatest goal he ever scored but in a one all draw
This can't be the case, hmm, I am England
Our men once ruled the waves but now dwell in their mancaves
Again, sadly, I am England
We once told our jokes and the birds to grab their coats
Now not a whimper, we can't offend, I am England
Saturday on the terrace, baying for blood, to the opposing crowd
Now, keep it down, not so loud, I am England
With a backbone and more front than Brighton Beach
You can't say that, it's out of our reach, I am England
How times have changed, from the sensitive to the utterly deranged
The lefts have taken the rites, yes, I am England
Comedy was a laugh but now is an early bath
Citizan Khan to Mrs Brown, God, please mend this, I am England
We once soured like an eagle, now a drip like treacle
No losers just a runner up, this has to stop, I am sadly England
A photo taken of nearly every meal eaten out
I'm starting to think we all live in doubt, I am England
Yet you cannot say a thing incase of somehow offending
Again, hate this to say, I, my friend, I am long lost England.

Reassigned
Renamed
Revolving still in the same way
Where night is still night and day is still day
I am now seen as a lower grade of pay
For once I stood big but now I am small
From the heights of a man
Oh, how the mighty do fall
Words cannot describe such change in life
You adapt
Quick wit
As sharp as a knife
I like to keep in and be that one-man show
Yes, I am still that guy, that guy you all know
Just watch me change, adapt, succumb
For I am that evolving planet,
I am Pluto.

I started out with nothing,
just a million bucks and flying **** attitude,
a family business already in the run, rents in Manhattan to the man on the street, dude

A degree in economics to taking over Ms World,
every real man’s fascination,
hey, let’s give it a name, something catchy, yeah,
The Trump Organization

For Trump is a name, a brand,
such fame and is never to be forgotten,
he’ll have it sewn into golfers clothes, courses around the world, even up in wee bonnie Scotland

Women from around the globe,
Ivana to Marla now married to the stunning Melania Knauss,
sure she knows his real views buts prefers the money when being this intransigent fools spouse

The telly roles came flooding in,
from Zoolander down to his own The Apprentice,
America’s branded self-made billionaire,
oh what a little lie that really is

Time to move on with a business
that was now becoming a bit of a bore,
only one step left to take,
US President now mostly hated to the core

His views on foreign aid and the Mexicans infuriating all
keep them out, they’re stealing our Yankee jobs,
so let’s build a big ******* wall

Who else is going to sweep the floors,
wash the cars and keep the lousy jobs afloat,
the American economy is built on these,
can’t see Chad or Hank jumping into this boat

He continues to rock the boat everywhere he goes,
wiping dandruff from Emmanuel Macron shoulder to upsetting those he doesn’t even know

Kim Jon-un and the whole of North Korea,
he took on the Rocket Man,
now they’re are best mates, he stopped World War 3,
hell they even shared a beer can!

So how long can this last before the mask slowly drops and his plans are scuppered by all,
the pensioners and the hillbilly’s all took they’re vote,
a Republican who wants a world wide brawl

For this is the land of the brave and the free,
a vision well received way back in the fifties,
but times they have changed and the world's a bigger place,
still in by 2020?

But the world loves a trier,
God knows this is true but one with a better plan,
for some of his policies have hit the spot but dare we leave this world in his hands

Yes he is funny, almost comedic in parts,
but trust him to pull this thing through?
his policies are stubborn, childish in truth, for he sees it as this,

I can so I do

Judgemental?
Yes
A car that hasn't been cleaned in ages
It makes you think
Their driving?
Gonna be bad

You step in and already the signs are negative
A mess of untold takeaways, how do some people live
11 Magic Tree's all hanging from the mirror
On the passenger seat their food, an old McDonald's wrapper

CD cases shoved into the depths of the car doors pockets
From Jane McDonald onto Steps, please God, just stop it
Penny sweet wrappers all mixed with their mint Extra's
On the back seat a GB map and a DVD of Michael C Hall in Dexter

I start to wonder what the state of their house really is
Not Hoovered for weeks, stinks to high heaven with old food in the fridge
But let's not stray as they might actually be a surprise
Jumps in, no seatbelt on, no, this really is a pigsty

Whacks it into first, revs right up, let's skip that trip and put it in third
Who teaches these people the way to live in life
Did their parents skip a growing up class on how to live nice
Or maybe I have morals that sour down to being too pleasant
Were nearly there, just a quick ride which I'm starting to wish I hadn't

Getting out I thank them for their generosity, until next time,
She replied,
"Don't be stupid son, I'm your mum, your always welcome for a free ride!"

Think I'll try dad next time

That shining light we both once had
It trickles to a dim flicker and into a fad
I would try and make these words loving and long
But like my love for you a hapless worry
Now unconvincing and just gone
Its so true and yes, Christ yes,
I'm sorry

If.
If.
If it all just ended now, I think I would be happy
Not stuck in some retirement home, surrounded by adult nappies
If I won the lottery, I'd be a real big spend winner
Flash cars, piano bars, and no doubt a terrible sinner
If I went out fishing and didnt catch a single thing
I'd treat myself to cod and chips, just smiling at what couldve been
If I happened to be dating Claudia Schiffer or any supermodel
I'd wake up from my dream and order a blow up version from Yodel
If my cat spoke perfect English, I'm sure he'd swear like a sailor
He'd be in every film as the next best thing, I'd love to see the trailer
If,
If,
If,
Life is a daily grind of ifs and buts
As we crawl through our days with the bruises and cuts
Sometimes its good with an ending of lust
But until that day, it's knowing who and if we really can trust,

If.

JJB
#if
If.
If.
If I won the lottery, I'd be a big spend winner
Flash cars, piano bars, and no doubt a terrible sinner
If I counted every pound I had spent
I'd now be a millionaire without a **** care
If I had asked that girl out at school how would my life be different
Live the life I lived or taken to the cleaners and now be poor and skint
If I had taken up acting would I have been the best James Bond
Surrounded by fame and the pick of any black, brunette or blonde
If I had eaten my veg would I have grown up a little bit taller
Or are these just tales of our parents with dated foods in the cooler
If I hadnt taken time with my trade and learnt on the tools
Instead of spending a pound and winning the pools
If it all just ended now, I think I would be happy
Not in some retirement home, surrounded by sick and adult nappies
If
If
If
If I didnt have such a typing stutter
I could have done something in this time that probably, and really, matters.

If the BBC...
Knew how we all really do talk in the car,
Of our real opinions,
Our views,
Of what we think of certain people in life,
How our daily chat is embroiled in what they don't report,
Our loves that don't include politics,
A real box to tick,
Who we hate,
Who we really do rate,
And who should go into that next big seat at No.10,
Then the BBC should speak to the man on the street,

The British builder,
The factory worker
The delivery driver
The plumber
The average office worker
The struggling student and not those whose parents have money
The small towns near Grimsby,Bristol and those in Newcastle
The real man
The Nine til Five and then the Seven til' Eleven
The every penny earnt and still they are struggling

If the BBC actually reported on this,
Then this would be the real Britain they would be showing,
Yet,

From the jacket on my back to the shoes that I walk in,
I got nothing
From the dreams that guide my day to the reality that makes it sway,
I got nothing
To the wind that touches my skin and to know thats all that's been,
Still,
I got nothing

When do I start again to feel that I have a purpose
This world pandemic and its claws with this killer virus
Just to wake up and to feel again normality
To hold and touch a strangers hand
Not to feel it a vulgarity

Avoid it.
No chance
Swerve it.
Done that.
A purpose to the day.
Don't die
Sniffing so close at every second you play
You crossed a road. Tick
You flew in a helicopter. Tick
Jumped from a plane for charity tied to another man. Tick
You even held a python around your neck just to impress the kids. Tick
So what you got left then.
Bring it on.
A disease just because the others failed
Take me from the inside and leave me decrepit and frail
Yeah?
Is that all you've got?
Coming in at another angle to rid me of my life.
A losers choice as you're out of options.
Come on.
You've been practising for an eternity for this day.
Something a bit more manly to rid me of my stay,
You don't scare me as I breath my last breath,
You faceless, soulless, nothing better to do with your day coward,

I laugh at you death

I have colleagues and people that do
Have known a bestie at times but none of them are you
For we see things in an alternative and a make believe life
Where no one answers back and our life is just right

You laugh at my misgivings for you share the same exiled humour
Random thoughts as one, we share our friendship as it is but a rumour
We lose our own imaginary land in a life which is controlled by real life borders
As a made up friend can do no wrong or be taken over by fraudsters

As you are,
A text I cannot send
A cut that I cannot mend
A story that cannot trend
A night out where I cannot spend
For no other words here that I can lend,
As you are my,

Imaginary friend
