"Good thoughts"
Innocencel0st Jun 2014
I hopelessly strive to think the "good thoughts",
But it seems that these "good thoughts",
Never seize to become tainted with painful memories,
Of what we had, or rather, what we didn't.

Helpless, hopeless, hateful
Innocencel0st Jun 2014
Helpless,
As I can not help but look to the stars each night and pick out the most beautiful one, naming it after you.
Hopeless,
As I am no longer able to hope that I will one day wake up in the young hours of the day soley to trace every inch of your perfect body and my whole world be, in a literal sense, at my fingertips.
Hateful,
As I am angry at the world for allowing me to fall so very deeply in love with someone I will never touch, let alone hold.

Her

Her
One day you will meet her.
She will kiss you under a sea of a thousand stars and string together sentences made up of beautiful words that you never even knew existed, until now.
She will tell you she couldn't sleep the night before because all she could think of was your chestnut brown eyes and how they mirrored your soul so perfectly and that this was enough reason to stay awake.
She will call you at 3am, whilst alcohol saturates her veins just to tell you she loves you.
Then one cold December evening you will get a text message, an admission that she has found someone else, she doesn't love you anymore and she is sorry.
And suddenly, you're wishing for her on a thousand shooting stars and you replay all of the beautiful words she told you over and over in your head, hoping that they lose their meaning again. But they never do, they never ever do.
And suddenly the thought of her is enough to keep you awake and you can't ever sleep because her emerald green eyes haunt you in even your deepest of sleeps. And you're tired, you're so ******* tired.
And suddenly, there is more ***** in your blood than water and it's 3am and you call her. Just one last time. Just to tell her you love her. And the operator will pick up. And her voicemail isn't enough for you to let her go. Not yet.
She is kissing someone new under the stars and telling her beautiful words that she never knew existed, until now.
And suddenly, one day is just a memory.
