Don't you agree, everyone talks too much?
Can't we listen, not talk, just hush.
I think you'd be surprised at all the things you'd hear.
Maybe the silence would draw more people near.
No more hurt feelings, or losing those you love.
Just hush and listen for guidance from above.
You're so busy talking, you can't hear what He says.
Although He's the only reason you're being blessed.
So here is some advice to those who won't shut up.
When you listen, you will learn.
And that should be enough.

Come dance with the devil,
hear his violin call,
the soulful beauty of its music,
calling one and all,

Coiling round your soul,
with his slender, twisting arms,
teasing and beguiling,
singing his woeful psalms,

He’s taking his curtain call,
as you gently start to weep,
waiting for the darkness,
your soul is his to keep.
The devil mentioned here can be taken literally or metaphorically, it speaks of those things that lure us in life, perhaps causing us to take the wrong direction and in so doing walk down the path to self destruction.  Read into it how you will.

Silence Screamz
I view the greens
of the cemetery field.
Graves full of flowers,
Except for one still.

Seasons had come,
seasons did go.
Summer's eve
and winter's cold

Headstones aligned,
all in a row,
a small single one,
sits all alone

No single flower
or family visits,
away from it all,
It's sad as I see it.

For ten long years,
nobody cared.
My feelings are somber
and mildly snared.

Viewing the marker,
my tears were so many.
The inscription it said,
"I love you, my daughter, Emily"

The Beloved
enters like a mist
When in stillness
Lays a kiss

Disarms my words
eludes my eyes
pages empty
the ink run dry

Hours gaze
from a clock with no face
free from the hands
of time and space

Pulsing chamber of light
that of a lantern
of a wayfaring messenger, she says
“I am not writer, I am written”
