~

I chased the sun
until it set

I watched the rain
while getting wet

I went to sleep
so I could dream

I danced beneath
a soft moon beam

I sang a song
way out of tune

I pictured waves
out past the dune

I climbed a hill
covered with snow

I planted seeds
to watch them grow

I waved at cars
just passing by

I pondered clouds
upon the sky

I counted stars
high up above

I wrote a poem
filled with love

But…

The greatest thing
that I could do

I fell in love
with only you

I wonder what's under your skin.
Sometimes
I see the glitter in your eyes
Of hidden things
Like the shine of silver minows in deep water
But then the sun comes out and blinds me
And I've lost the trail
Of that starlight that I know drags its soft fingers through the dark corners of your heart.
I want the long shadows it casts.
I want the  complicated, messy figures it throws up on the cave walls of your soul,
I want their unabashed wildness,
I want the savage way they will never keep still in one form.
I want the way they scare you and the way they thrill you.
We hide
So much in this life.
We hide from the world.
I will show you every edge of me
And I will map your edges
With tender hands and gentle words,
And awe.
I want in
To whatever makes you be.
Leave the gentle talk aside
Let my eyes today play with your eyes
As I bite my lower lip
And imagine us the sensual way
As I dare to come near you
And by the collar I grab you
Let the watching eyes watch
Are you feeling shy?
Now that provokes my wild side
Leave the spiritual love for a while
Let our senses play tonight
Forget dressing decent today
Forget manners and etiquettes today
Forget what the people will say
Just listen to my playful eyes
Read the gestures I send your way
Let me be the aggressive one my love
Out in the wild, everywhere
Let our lustful passions devour us today...

Ribbons of desire
Wrapped around her wrists
When He claimed to love her
With all his promises.

Little did she know
Inch by silken inch
Those ribbons transferred poison
Her soul; forever His.

Some times I look up to the sky and think,
Did I lose it all?
But when I stare at the sky for long,
And the night falls I remember why the darkness is there,
To give the stars an opportunity to shine.
And those days I know that even in the dark there can be beauty,
I just have to wait long enough for the stars to appear,
So I go on and wait for my smile to shine as bright as the stars again.
By the time we reached the final act
our dialogues turned to whispers
warmed us the pledge to the silent pact
we would be rehearsing under the stars

dew would damp the players' cloth
all but the two were gone
who were tied by the burning oath
must shape their roles to perfection

owls hooted in the night's shadow
world slept behind shut door
we were numbed to the time's flow
by the sounds of claps encore

one the alien had blood thick green
that only the ****** revealed
when unbeknownst was cut his skin
by the other soon to be killed

that time now ***** to yellowed page
long back fate set him free
my skin is now bold in age
he's evergreen in memory.
In fond remembrance of a friend who was snatched in youth. We acted together in a few amateur plays one of which was Green Man.
This took so many years in coming.
