There is humidity in the air
The clouds melting together,
Blocking out the sun
The wind is getting stronger
As I'm sitting on the front porch
Drops of water like tears
Dripping from the sky
The rain in all it's might
Trying to wash away
All of our mistakes
All of our pain
The question is
Will it be enough?
Flo Dec 2015
Ask anyone and most would tell you
They'd love to travel
See the world
Visit foreign countries
Is that the dream?
Never call a place your home
Constantly moving, meeting new people
But you'll never open your heart completely
Think twice before you leave
Your sweet little hometown

I have known you for quite some time
You seem to be a riddle
One I can't quite figure out
Never opening your heart
Yet searching for love
I know you are scared
But isn't it the time to be bold?
Girl sometimes we have to take risks
In order to reach for what we desire
A poem I wrote for one of my friends...

I feel like I'm living in a house
That has already been packed up.
Displaced things.
Confusing mazes.
Unlabeled boxes,
But never unable to find the *****.

I'm too powerful to be open.
It's not secrets,
It's survival.

Your love might be real
But I know
He is the most important person in your life
And that will never change
The question is
Can I share the room inside your heart
Or will the lack of space crush my own
Sometimes our significant other leaves or gets taken from us and there comes the time to move on. Nevertheless they leave their marks, if we want to or not. Eventually we fall in love again. The poem deals with the question: can we love two people at a time?
