I will dance
And I will spin
Until the room blurs
And the lightless gaps
Between swaying bodies
Absorb my ache
And longing

I will twist
And I will wring
Dizzily releasing
Whatever still clings
To my depleting soul
And replace it with champagne

And I will dance

If I am empty, lad
Then I must be fillable
And forsaken land
Then I am still tillable
So hand me a pint
And I’ll drink the tankard full
And we’ll be on our merry way

ok okay
'Are you okay?'

I am tired of falling
I stumble through time
Lose connections with others
And watch days go by
I am waiting for someone
When will they arrive

Ask me again?

I am fine
Beware the stranger at your door.
The tissue voice of magic,
the tight handshake.

The seduction of your senses,
good words can lie.

Arrive at a place of softness,
the betrayal of surprise.

Stubborn denial, voices
enlarge the deceit.
You are not safe
when softness hides
the stone of treachery.

You gave
me
a new
hat
to wear
because
my old
one
had worn
out;

thank you
for
this gift.
Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime - Beck
The only thing I ever learned to flirt with
Was danger.
