Running toward the moonlight

With the remnant

On the horizon

Riding the breeze

All your lies about your lover !

All pretense is gone

Honey

The last time we kissed
I broke out in hives
from the honey on her breath
and the sting of her lies.
I swear, I'd die a thousand deaths
if she were the queen of my hive.

I miss the holy ghost of her smile.
The silhouette of her head in the night
on my pillow. Her beauty alight.

She was rain on my fever. Rain
through my window. An innuendo
of heavenly morning light. Heart heavy
as the moon on its way to Montana
  wearing my blue bandana.

Oh, come on you black-eyed
***** Night. Spite me
with sleep. Strike me, like
a cottonmouth. Sing me
your dark song, like a footfall
in my hallway, like a night watch-
man dropping his lantern,
a last turn of the fan, a whisper
of a mystery, a kiss with wisteria
and moonshine on your breath.
i saw a white hart in
a wood,
gorgeous before the
night he stood,
delicate, like a pearl,
wild and untamed,
a graceful flower
of the breeze
where autumn leaves
drowned their
sorrows in mossy
streams,
as surreal as stars
melting their blue
in september seas.

"you will always

be worth the risk"
"We accept the love we think we deserve."
Sometimes we need someone to remind us what we're worth; someone who believes in taking chances; someone who won't let go no matter what.
