It’s happened
Death to
Fellow classmate
Student
Alumni
There are many of them
That goes through this
How we remember them
Honor them
Praise them
For their hard work
Getting where they are now
Some move on
To a successful career
And long lives
While others are short lived
While other suffer
Unexplainable disease
Unexpected crashes
These are ones who we mourn
These are the ones that we remember
The unexplainable
Unexpected ones
They are ones that make an impact on us
It seem sad that they have to die first
In order to be remembered
By others
It is out of our hands
There is no stopping this
All that we can do
Is pray that death won’t come to
Our classmates
Our friends
Our alumni
Us.

The last day
With my family
It’s sad
After tonight
We will go our separate ways
It will be days
Till I see then again
Once I go I will be on my own
But soon we will reunite
And be whole again

Form the pain of losing someone
To the joy of seeing new life
From the south
To the north
From across the Atlantic
To the Pacific
And everywhere in between
Is considered to be
Place where I learned
To be me
From being picked on
And talked down upon
To being praised
And confident
Is the up’s and down’s
That I have through out
This life of mine
That made me
Who I am today

I feel helpless
Trapped here
Unable to get out
Unable to act on my own
Having to rely on someone else
To have there consent
On everything that I do
It doesn’t feel right
I have rights
I am considered an adult
By law
But here I feel like a child
Under theirs
There is no balance
Between the two
I am almost free form this place
But it feels so far away
I hope that I can make it
I really hope that I do
When I have my diploma
In my hand
I will be free

Look at me
What do you see
A Person, a Friend, an Enemy
An Athlete, a Geek, an Artist
Look at us
What do you see
White, Black, Asian, Indian
Does it make a differences
Who we are
Where we come form
Look around
What do you see
I see the future in the eyes of many
Standing before me
Look and see what I see
Here in front of me
As do you

Stealthy
Cruel
Indiscriminate
This disease attacks
The people who we care
The most
No one knows why
Where it came from
Or has a universal cure for it
All we can do is hope
Hope for the treatment works
Hope that they will be ok
Hope that you won’t lose your mind over this
Hope that you don’t lose hope
Even after the outcome
Is not what you hoped for in the end
That is all we can do
Is hope
Pray
And cherish
Every moment
Until the battle over

He looks at you
He hollers at you
He flirts with you
While you
Ignore them
Flirt back with them
Laugh at them
Blush because of him
And his
Absurd way
So that you
Will look at him
