And it hurts
When you're so worthless
To everyone,
Including yourself

When even
Your very best friend
Couldn't be bothered
To save you from hell

When those who
Told you they'd always be there
Left you
With out so much as a thought

And for
All they care
You could sit there
Until you started to rot.

You shot me in the stomach
And not the head.
I thought you'd try to
**** my wishful thoughts,
But you saved me from
The butterflies instead.

The pictures in my mind
Always bursting with color and wondrous light
But when they journey to the real world
They fade to grey and white

people always say

inhale the good
exhale the bad

out with the old
in with the new

but all we end up with
is a poisoned atmosphere

Thomas Hardy
Had he and I but met
By some old ancient inn,
We should have set us down to wet
Right many a nipperkin!

But ranged as infantry,
And staring face to face,
I shot at him as he at me,
And killed him in his place.

I shot him dead because—
Because he was my foe,
Just so: my foe of course he was;
That’s clear enough; although

He thought he’d ‘list, perhaps,
Off-hand like—just as I—
Was out of work—had sold his traps—
No other reason why.

Yes; quaint and curious war is!
You shoot a fellow down
You’d treat, if met where any bar is,
Or help to half a crown.

Blankly staring, gaze of hardened stone
Clench fists whitening, knuckles gripping thin air
Jaw line straining, grinding teeth to powdered dust
No words do describe tormented rage
Melted with fury
Churned with bitter taste
Like rusted nails
Wire of the sharpest shape
Acid of purest state
My hate
My hate
A burden to my being
Devil upon shoulder
Days
Nights
Dominos falling
My hate
My Hate
Fire of unending blaze
No fruit to quench its thirst

Times Like These

It's days like these that I wish to float away
To walk through a sunflower garden and admire life for what it is
Content for once, where whispers of olden days play
When staring in awe, I realize how how fast the clouds do move
Or how warm the sun bathes us so
Or how the trees sway
Where birds do sing their songs
And shade covers small patches of purple flowers
Waking from an icy winter sleep
When the world greets you as you step out into its home
That is when you know you have found yourself
In Spring again
