There is a blank space
On my heart's wall
With two nails already hung
Waiting for that
Framed painted picture
Of me and you
although yet to come
Of a love found
really true in time

Sometimes real love takes awhile
Bruscamente (brusquely)*
Cupid!   Wingèd cherub warrior
Pluck this arrow from my heart!
Pierce one more compliant with your
Sweet love potion’s little dart!

Pesante (sadly)
Leave me empty in my sorrow
For my lover has betrothed
So at least, until tomorrow,
Every form of love is loath

Scherzando (playfully)

In the morning, I’ll endeavour
To uncover unpledged muse
Then your little bow and quiver
And your arrows I … could use

Semplicemente (plainly)

Sweet paradox – mocks tragedy
For love … is love’s sole remedy

The voluntary choosing of
Involuntary choice
An eloquent expression of
An apathetic voice
A tribute to the losing of
All reason to rejoice
That subtle executioner …
Routine

Trapped , semi-tamed ,
players on the grid forced from
point A to B
Confined to insulated stria , racing to their
destinations , crashing into transformers , divided ,
fed to culled , starving machines* ...

Tangle me in your web of desire.
May your passion light my fire.
Sharing secrets; with my secret admire.
Your piece of mind,
My quagmire.
Below the surface,
My hidden Sapphire.
Shooting starts;
Chasing tails.
Such a satire.
It's all good,
Until it backfires.
