i look inside myself long enough
and see a skeleton
trying to dig his way out.

Paused on the veranda
  for a poetic tête-à-tête,
we sipped vintage wine
  and spoke of days gone hither
      when we were much greener,
  tripping the nimbly light
   and guzzling cheap beer into
      the wee hours of night's obscurity,
wiser and older, yet still imagining
        one day we'll conquer the world,
resigned to this present moment
     we comfortably reminisce,
               midst the effervescent
                                bubbly of reality

You came in as a snowflake.
Laid on me in winter's chill.
Loved me like a hurricane.
Soothed me, kept me warm and still.
In a flowing tide of stretched emotions.
You went and left me high and dry.
It was but two years ago today.
Lost my heart like yesterday.
Your heart was oh so set asunder.
You fell in love with the lady Liv.

There's one thing more painful than a broken heart,
And that's loving someone who'll never love you back.
Sure they can love who you are and love you as a friend,
But they'll never love you in the intimate way you love them.

If you're going through heartbreak,
You may think I'm full of ****,
But I've been heartbroken before,
And loving without love in return is worse than it.

Heartbreaks are horrible and scary and rough,
But loving the unloving is so much more tough.

I can't really explain just how I feel,
But the love I'm in is just too real,
