I do not care about fame
I do not care about wealth

All these materialistic needs are just making me sick

What I do care about is making it

Surviving, to tell a tale
And being able to be proud of it.

I'm ashamed; posting
these awkward poems; expecting
you'd read this and smile.

There are wild roses.
They grow up through the cracks
in the pavement,
they have thorns
they have petals
the bees hover, but never settle
the bare feet step, unknowing
their soles then showing
thorns trapped beneath the skin.
they offer their dangerous beauty to the sun
they stay in one place; they never run.

to be young and beautiful
is desperate and dumb!
to have it all
to get nothing, none!
to need it bad
anxiously wanting some.

sleepless nights,
dreams of ***!
pain is
promiscuity at bedrest.
angry abstinence shouts
this is a cruel test!

pretty doll face,
glowing of grace.
why have this body?
and not share its joy
why be a good ol' girl
If you cannot love a handsome bad boy?
