Surprise!
I was scared when they yelled at me
Smiling and holding a cake covered in candles near my face
Smiles among the faces I had met just the other year ago
Seems happy but it's just a dream
The faces I met the other year ago weren't as cheery or nice as this
Nor have they looked like this at all

And just like that the illusion is gone
You're no longer you
The dried up flower petal falls into the now dusty gloom
You remember all you have lost
And suddenly
The color drains from your skin, from your soul
And you become as grey, white, and black as the dust and ashes
Soon you also start disappearing
Soon the scenery becomes cold and weary
Soon settles in the snow that makes you freeze in this moment of time
This is depression deary

We're in the middle of nowhere
Except trash bags are our tumble weeds
And the ash is our wind
The broken trees the children
And the fire our kin
The ash moves beneath the dry leaves
The fire plays within the broken trees
And the children die from choking on ashes

We are the Children of the Sun,
Sister to Moon,
unyielding to none

Rushing gracefully to outrun
the warring tug of our orbit
brutish and unrelenting
naught to be forsaken

We are tokens of synergy
an Ocean of Energy
flaring flames of Inferno
waiting, imminently
we promenade 'cross spaceous sea
to engulf the fragile faun in flight
Hell hath no other to share this night

We are the dark and undetected
electrically affected
magnetic resonance of the One.

*~ forever we will be the Children of the Sun ~
A poem about cosmic radiation and other space things that go bump in the night sky

I will wait outside
because you've locked the doors,
battened down the hatches,
and prepared for a storm
but the day will come
when you’re not afraid anymore
and I’ll be where you left me
because I've always been yours.

The Lonely Remnants
I am like dirt,
I get walked all over, people kick me around for fun,
I am like dirt,
I am unappreciated, unnoticed, I'm never wanted until they need me,
I am like dirt,
They dig, and dig, and dig into me, until they hit a rock,
But it's only me telling them to stop, and when they hit that stop,
They just break through me, break my feelings, and keep going,
I am like dirt,
I can be gentle, I can be tough,
I am like dirt because,
I try to leave, run, hide, escape,
But where can I go? What can I do?
All I am is dirt.

You and your shadow
In a silent rendezvous
Trying to figure out
The differences
In the images portrayed
Part of you
Many crossroads between
Within you so many events
Wants attention
Thoughts, feelings, emotions
Yet, shadow unperturbed
Unaware
Still claims to be your reflection
Maybe of contradictions
Imitating every intricate moves
But the mind and heart
Has a different story to narrate
Let’s infuse life in the shadow
And ask, how it feels
Life of a shadow
Should be an interesting anecdote
Ask the lights nearby
What the rays have nurtured
Shadow shall speak
For itself
Or about the accumulated stories
You went through
Is it a silent observer?
Or, just absorbs the negative emotions
Let it speak for itself
Unravel the truth with its narrative

It is a simple question, do you believe a wife should obey her husband?
Sorry if you answered yes, you see this is America, we are all equal and it is illegal to oppress another human being.
Don't bring that **** around here, some of us are socially evolved.

Seriously, We have young girls we're trying to teach independence to here, that's who we should be as humans.
