Ghazal
Too much a part of my system,
My being, my thoughts-
Deepest of thoughts,
The shape of all my desires,
Precious, precious love,
When did I imbibe so much of you
When did I weave you so intricately
Into all my innocent and all my complex
Dreams,
Your face beams
At me, through your absence,
Stays with me,
Plays with me,
Leaving me to wonder in amazement,
When did I make you so much a part of me, that
I became you | You became *me

Oh what a wonderful phase
We are in right now, us five girlfriends,
With defunct love lives and no immediate hope
of securing a boyfriend.

Oh what freedom there is, in
branding ourselves "unaffordable platinums",
And priding ourselves at being too good for
those mortal, fallible, self-proclaimed "alpha" men.

Such hypocrites we are, actually,
Ridiculing and belittling that cute guy,
Still discussing his every move, nudging
and giggling at each other when he passes by.

But hey, call us hypocrites, evil, mean-
All of it we whole-heartedly accept.
Right now, we're living life in moments,
And our bucket list of madness, we mean to "check"-

Aimless flirting - check!
Pointless bedtime discussions - check!
Choosing a guy and then dissecting
His every habit - check,
His dressing style- check,
His twinkling eyes- check,
That had met ours today over lunch break- YES! Check!,
His last aloof message- check,
Sending an even more curt response- check,
Our hidden hopes that he would reply,
With affectionate words and also apologize,
For all the times he wasn't all that nice- wistful check.

Oh we're a bundle of emotions, us five,
Sans pressures and restrictions that a guy brings along,
Sans complexities and compulsions that come free
With his supplies of testosterone.

So, broadcasting this to all you gentlemen out there,
If you ever venture into our line of sight,
Prepare to be scrutinised, evaluated, and then rejected outright,
By this precious, exuberant pack of platinum five.

Nestled in a cosy little corner,
Blooming out from an old branch,
The newest offspring- young,
slender, fresh, entranced
By something never experienced before,
Unfurled himself in joyous glory,
And absorbed the single sweet drop
That drenched his welcoming body.
The other leaves chuckled lovingly
And the birds chirped at the display,
The entire tree rustled with glee watching
The little one rejoice on his first rainy day.

Erase
Unlearn
Torch
Watch it burn
Stomp on it,
Think it's dead
See it emerge
From the ashes instead,
Invincible,
On fire undousable,
Beating vigorously
With love unquenchable,
Heart flaming
With undying heat.
Start over, in vain,
The infinite repeat.

Ghazal
The trick is to deeply inhale,
Loosen your inhibitions and let go,
You don't know if you'll be saved
Or you'll fall, still-
Let go,
What's the point of everything, really?
Of polite smiles and sniggers behind backs-
Of storms within and silent exteriors-
Of days of drudgery and painful nights-
Of worldly desires that forever grow in height?
The only sensible thing in the world
Is the nonsensical, the vague, the free state of
Nothingness
That you were born in, you don't remember but
That was the most serene, most quiet,
Most happy you ever were,
Retreat to that innocence, what stops you?
Goals? There's no end to them anyway.
People? They'll walk out anyway.
Comfort? It won't last anyway.
Leave it all before it leaves you,
Surrender yourself into
The all-enveloping arms
Of the endless blue skies,
Breathe in freedom and jump
Even though you don't have wings,
Even though gravity appears menacing,
And even though no one taught you how to-
The moment you'll let go,
Life will catch you,
Embrace you, cradle you, lift you high-
And trust me, dear reader,
Then you'll fly,
Even though no one taught you how to,
You'll fly...

Yeh bharat hai
     un veer jawano ka,
Jahan samman hota aurato ka
    Atithi aur kisaano ka,

Yeha bahati hai Ganga ki suddh dhara,
Rahenge sda hum ek hamara yahi nara,

Manaye jate hain id yaha harsho-ullas se,
Khele jate holiya bhi rango aur gulal se,

Kheto ki hariyali hi bharat ki pahchan,
Ugate hai sona bhi mitti se yahan ke kisaan,

Yeh bharat hai
     un naujawano ka,
Jo tay karte desh ka bhavishya, vishav me pahchan hain enke ek alag karnamo ka,

Yehan ke log jite hain sirf es watan ke liye,
Kadi dhup ** ya kadkdati thand karte hain mehnat dinbhar do roti aur us pet ke liye,

Yahan thirakati hain nariya kathak ke dhuno par,
Barsate hain phul yahan us thinranga jhande par,

Likh do sabd  MANISH  bhi bataya apni desh ki pahchan,
Jiski sabheyata aur sanskriti hain sarvopari

This is a work of fiction

A little girl lost her father and her brother in a bomb blast. This poem is a tribute to such small children and relatives by acts of terror

Big bad bomb

Who did I wrong

Guns not in my purse

Yet why it's curse

Big bad bomb

A wrong doth not right a wrong

Torn laid my father lifeless

His love to me blameless

Big bad bomb

Any reason to light thee wrong

The last man in family gone

My sibling my brother to mourn

Big bad bomb

Never seen face of them wrong

My father never took their land

My brother never raised his hand

******* bomb

I cannot right this wrong

Sadness be the tune of song

Many like me mourn so long

Big bad bomb

Revenge for my loved wrong

For if I light another bomb

To innocence I do wrong

Hear my cry my brethren who harm

Set not thy heart to light a bomb

Oh!! Your shade
you appear to be seductive violet
to brick red for your mature taste
my tongue is greedy for you
you calm my nervous system
but my heart envy you,
as nobody can give me such pleasure,

Your one sip,
reminds me of,
how passionately  you were made,
how each hand picked berries were minutely harvested,
how each berries were separated from stem & leaves to reduce the bitter taste,
how each berries were tipped into a receival bin,
how each berries were crushed to extract your purity
So the flavour of each berries can be felt
You are not too sweet, you are not too bitter,
thats what give me pleasure

"You share a human relationship bond"
nor too sweet neither too bitter
that creates love between a relation

You are not just a drink, you are the nectar of lords,
you make people beautiful to adore themselves,
you are the king of romance, where everyone wants to be your queen,
You are the shadow in darkness,
You are the undefine,

Thats you

You had always mocked me.
Your words even choked me.

I didn't know what to make of it.
You never showed mercy, for the sake of it.

All I wanted to see you happy, see you smile..
But you.. Yes. You brought me here where happiness
is far a mile..
Money was your only style...

I cried and cried for nights to think..
Do I really want a career of paper and ink?
I asked and asked for hours without a blink...

I realized, it is true. This is what i want.
These nights must stop their haunt.

I held the pen in my hand and tears in the eyes,
Now my fate will rise,
You all will get, for I have a prize..

As I write this, I smile at the paper,
My all sorrows evaporate like vapor..

I always think now, what would I become,
If all the pain didn't come?

What if you hadn't mocked me?
What if your words hadn't choked me?

“One day this pain will go,
Let’s move on and not let it grow,

You are special, you are brave,
Not anyone’s slave,

Don’t seek for revenge,
Of course, your life will change,
Don’t act too strange,

because…

One day this pain will go,
Just Move On, and not let it grow.”
