I dreamt of you
Every time
I closed my eyes
Every time
The sun smiled
Every time
A flower bloomed
You were such
A beautiful dream
But sadly I’ve learnt  that
A  dream too often
Is most beautiful
When it remains a dream

I dreamt about a poem
Covered in cotton sheets,
Hanging from a clothes line.
And the air stirs,
The clouds pass by
Whispering somber utterances -
Words not meant for man.

And I walked out in frustration
From my bedroom morning light
Down the backyard porch steps
Into the wind
And said nothing.
I said nothing to the shadows.
Spoke not a word to the clouds.

Alone and forgotten
Waiting for the words to dry.

~
In the mist of late night solitude,
                 from a mislaid plateau,
with a suitcase full of sparks

She observes constellations
        reflected as little needy eyes,
                        peering down at her

They could be midnight directives,
       postcards from distant nebula
                            suspended in gaffa

       "Ne t'enfuis pas..." She exhales

Still she wonders:

will her children grow to love
          their perfect machines more
                                    than they love
                  their imperfect mother?

~
"Ne t'enfuis pas" is a French phrase which means "don't run away"

A world slowly woke from slumber
Stumbled through a sense of Deja Vu.
Free from sheets of sleep and dreams,
Borrowed stitches pay the seams
Of patchwork quilted promises,
Forgotten threads of make believe.

like a broken record
that just keeps going round
with that clicking sound
to keep me awake
even when I am asleep
And I keep slamming shut
windows and doors
in vain attempt to keep out
all the what ifs and why fors
yet even with my eyes shut
they still seem to slip in
like the wind
as it whistles through cracks
in the walls
of my broken realities
my regrets become the casualties
of a war torn mind
and its shattered landscape
of bombed out dreams
surrounding me like a flooded field
of all the lost causes
I let slip away
replaced by the empty promises
that I allowed to stay
easier to pretend
than to defend
that it was not me
that was there
while anyone could see the truth
that has burnt itself
across the vast emptiness
of my hollowed eyes
to be seen
even when my eyes are closed
and like a broken record
that just keeps going round
making that clicking sound
keeping me awake
even when I am asleep
surrounding me
like a flooded field
of all the lost causes
i let slip away
to be replaced by empty promises
That allow me to stay.

That was a different dream, not the one last night where you couldn't
get the door unlocked.  The other
dream was when we walked east
on Capitol Dr. toward the water.

We explored the caves,
the hidden grottos of Lake
Michigan.  We walked so far with
torn experience and
unforgiven memories.  The sky
dimmed in the late afternoon.
We tried to reach each other
in the fading red moments before
awakening.

Last night you couldn't get to me.
The locks were made up of the
Crucifixion and a nun kneeled
before me.  You were frocked
out in gray and threw kisses.

We woke in the same bed where
you vanished quietly to your
whispers of regret.
I remain unseen and unloved.
A torrent of feeling sprang from my
soft and sorry, lonely gray bed.

Run away with me
at dusk
Let's drink boxed wine
and laugh together
over stupid memories
and forgotten friends

dancing in the London rain
i wanna go to london so bad ah
Meet me in that place
   where the clouds
                    greet the trees,
   where swaying
             canopies
                        sprinkle
                  dancing
                         moonlight
                         on dark shadowy dreams.
That beautiful place
              of shining light
                     and ever loving grace,
              that place free from fear
                     filled with
                              peace and love,
                                      within
                                skies
                              of  eternity
                                     that never end……
Far away from the hum-drum
                                     of life,
                     far from the place
                          where anger and hate
                            cut you like a knife.
That place where the stars
            sing sweet songs of love
where the sun and the moon
                      dance passionately above.
Meet me under that big willow tree
            shaded by
                         hope
                             and
                                love,
that place
           that was always meant
                          for us to be free.
That place for you and me....
Take my heart to the moon
I'll be there I'll be right there
Romantic passion night
Chemistry of night
Bouquets of beauteous roses
At heaven's gate
Waiting for you

Take me before solitude
Let my heart lead the way to the moon
Eagle's eye watching the mystery
Kisses evening romantic essence
Its fragrance illuminating heart dancing
Now I can fly with grandeur
Will you fly with tenderness

Rivers breath sparkling the night
Summers friendly flowers glowing
With pleasure of the rain
A heart filled with love
O take me take me tonight
The stars will shine our hearts
Let my heart takes you to the moon
