the night, it fell
my heart
in pieces, my heart
it shattered but
i've lived to tell

the night, i swore
my heart
couldn't bare, the pain
yours too, it felt
for i, i do adore

the night, i knew
i've seen this true
that night, truth spilled
your heart, it grew
a new blossoming you

Even the rich
have cement boxes
full of ****
buried in their back yards.

We are all of us
but one errant ****** flush away
from being up to our ankles
in yesterday's horrors.

Remember this when shopping for shoes.

Icarus Will Learn

Icarus will learn
To not fly too close to the sun
Only when the beads of sweat
Are mixing with the melted wax
Dripping down his youthful back
Icarus will learn
To not fly higher than he should
Only when his fragile wings
His hopes and dreams have failed him
And he is falling from the sky
Icarus will learn
Of this I'm sure
But he'll only learn
When it's way to late
And the mistakes he made
Can't be fixed
Icarus will learn
But it won't matter

Twenty

They say you learn plenty
When you finally hit twenty
That everything changes
You connect with strangers
Abandon crazy dreams
Let go of balancing beams
To pursue proper prospects
Against all child you expects.

No matter how many years it's been
You will never once again be a teen.

Purple Rain

Cold World edited

Sometimes I think
No way this world is this cold
I withhold my tears
And I stay on my throne
Old enough rule,
Yet still time to grow
Give me a chance,
To fit into my shadow

I feel as though something is holding me back
I'm arms are weak
My mind is heavy
Someone get me some meds stat
Sick of this world
Sometimes it gets of messy
A life given, Can be deadly
Eyes wide,
mind unsteady
But I pull out my wings to takeoff like Lite Gear
I am my only fear
Yet, I steer my way
And tell the haters I'm not afraid

They say the sky's the limit
But I dream higher
Caught up in between Saints and Liars,
Makes me believe;
The devil is in fact here,
compromise ya
My tears **** down like the Open Sea
Used to cut myself open and see how much I bleed
Thinking disappearing would set me free
Like Heaven Was supposed to be my destiny
Yet Destiny is what you make it,
There is no luck
You put in the hours and commit
Or spend the rest of your life digging a ditch

underestimate
the power of a woman
and she'll destroy you

not to say men aren't powerful as well, because believe me, i know that men are a force to be reckoned with. i'm just saying that it's almost expected of men to be that way, but women get underestimated frequently.
