I carved you out of plaster
I moulded you from clay
I put you on a pedestal
one fine summers day

But winter's wind came calling
eroding the shellac
In your side you could not hide
the evidence of cracks

An angel I had fashioned
a deity I'd made
but you were dust beneath the crust
you could not fly away

And so you came a'crashing
my beautiful amore'
Yes you fell on me as well
where I stood upon the floor

In pieces you lay the there
with our loving cup
though in one stroke
both hearts were broke
I began to pick you up

I noticed the wrinkles
on the flesh you wore
and I knew that it was true
humanity restored

Now we are together
as human beings abide
neither one against the sun

we sit
side by side

Your parents gave you life, but they're not responsible for the choices you make.
I'm tired of people blaming their parents for crap they did to themselves.

It's not a hobby. Be prepared to give your life to it.
Read, read, read: The more poetry you read now,
the better your's will become.
Don't quit your day job. No one ever got rich writing poetry.
If you are seeking fame or to get laid,
there are obviously easier methods.
Ignore criticism, unless it is useful, and even then be wary.
Consider: Your feelings do not constitute the universe;
your love life may not be all that interesting.
Write every day. Don't wait for the Muse.
She is a fickle ***** prone to take random vacations.
Forget originality. It will paralyze you.
Write like a ******. That's what poets are.
Look forward to embarrassing yourself.
Say it in the fewest, best words.
Nothing is easy. Be prepared to burn for it.
Be joyful, though you have considered all the facts.

Sorry for I couldn't spare time
When u needed it the most,
Sorry I couldn't stay with you
When you deserved it the most.

Time passed by, I couldn't hold
But, now promise I will love you
Till we become fragile and old.
This body will decay
But, my soul shall stay.
We shall tread life-path Step by step
Tire you feel, I shall stop.
Holding your hands I shall move ahead.

Sorry I couldn't lighten your path
When it was dark , when the stars were off and dogs did bark.
Sorry I couldn't hug you when u felt alone
Tears kept rolling in your eyes
But it was wrongly me who stayed cool.
Today I confess I was such a great rustic and first- water fool.
Promise I shall become your shadow
Till your life.
Because you are now a friend
And not just a wife.

It saddens me when
people use poetry
to talk badly about someone else
Poetry is suppose to be fun
not a competive sport.
Why can't we
just all support one another
and be suggestive.
We all feel the same things.
We all be through alot;
that's what usually
makes a great poet.
So stop hating on people,
it is uncalled for.
This isn't middle school.
If you have a problem
with someone then
talk to them about
or block them...
Yes, hello poetry has a
block button**
feel free to use anytime
you have a problem someone
and get on with life.
These words are for Top hat and r. (both are poets on this site)
Stop hating on wolf. Wolf is a great guy & poet.

Do you know what happens when you hurt people?
They may begin to love you less
and begin to forget that they loved you once.
**Don't hurt people,
it'll hurt you too.

I destroy homes.
I tear families apart,
I’ll take your children and that is just the start.
If you need me I’m easily found
I’m all around you in every city and every town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor.
I live down the street, even next door.
My power is awesome, try me,
you'll see;
but if you do, you may never
break free.
Just try me once and I might let
you go.
But if you try me twice,
then i'll own your soul.

Once you become heartbroken, you look for someone to fill in the void one left.
You're not in love, just looking for healing in the wrong place.
If you think you are head over heels with someone in a short period of time where you just went through a break up it's just a rebound because you feel alone. I've done this before and many of my friends have it just makes things worse .

The key to women
Is a thinking man
Not a drinking man
Who can open up a
Stinking can of spam

We’ve dealt with a lot
And we know how to spot
The dead end plot
Of men just wanting a fling

We are deep individuals
Not just pretty plated visuals
For you to beep
Whenever you peep
You creep

So give us our props
Then maybe we’ll drop…

You a line or two.
As if you didn't know. The truth is we are all human and deserve to be treated as such. But most importantly, we all have souls, you know, those delicate magical little things inside us all? Speak to each other's soul. That is why poetry is so important. It speaks to what is unseen and true. Remember this. Be playful, spontaneous and protect what is sacred.
