Summer is here
With sunny days that are truly warm
Time for jackets to take a break
Time for some outdoors BBQ steak
Time to get Vitamin D on my skin
Find me on the weekends by the beach
Outdoor pools winking at me like
hey, come in here and swim
Lots of drop-top cars on the road
People socializing-ish
Flowers blooming
Allergens spreading
People sneezing
This is summer season!

I am a mess piled on top of a mess piled onto more mess..

If you want the perfect analogy for what kind of person I'll be in your life just think of that pile of laundry you push aside on your bed every night . . .

Drowning
afloat
bobbing
Dreaming

Not feeling the heart
Beats without a beat
Sinking

The spoken never a first choice
Written
Words lose the game
All good!
Had it not been for this place I would have never written anything beyond the first few times that I must have penned my thoughts.
Sharing my thoughts here has been a boon to me. Thank you all for reading and understanding

The typical 2 a.m. poem is messy
because middle of the night thoughts have no structure

The typical 2 a.m. poem is deep
because darkness is perfect for existentialism

The typical 2 a.m. poem is raw
because it's hard to edit when you're tired

This 2 a.m. poem is just another 2 a.m. poem
desperately trying to be unique

blazing moon rises
darkness chases frightened soul
fleeing own shadow
You are your own worst enemy.
