The mourning star falters
For in all the calm before,
It was forced to watch helplessly
As Earth grows up.
And yet, it still shines.
It is hard hearing about all the horrors that are going on- Syria, poverty, cruelty, rascism... And from an outside perspective if is all so senseless and yet unstoppable.

Sit at the table
Unfurl hidden stories
Brag about battle scars, failings, victories, and glories
When I'm with you I don't worry
We receive each other with wide open hearts
That is where our friendship starts.

You are my convive
In your presence I thrive
You are my confidant
I can tell you love me by your glance
Our friendship makes my life enhanced
This friendship is better than a romance

No expectations or gender roles to follow
Just a play date over some good food and drink
We can talk or think
Laugh or play
As long as we spend the day together
You and me will feel better.

I just wanna be me
Because that makes me happy

I wanna go down to the creek and dip my feet in water
Forget all the titles: Woman, sister, daughter

I'm gonna flash my pearly whites
And not worry if my joy is too bright

I'm gonna stride down the street with confidence
I'm going to accept and believe all the compliments

I'm putting doubt and fear to the side today
Because I just know, everything will be okay

I'm gonna be as carefree as the birds and the bees, the wind in the trees
I'm just gonna be me.

Touch space and time
With my fingertips
The ambiance carries me on a wave
Echoing vibrations crawl up my vertebrae

This music is untypical
Just take a sip of it
It's better than your daily drug
It's a kaleidoscopic hug
Increasing dopamine
Close your eyes,
This experience is unlike anything you've ever seen.

Take my hand,
We'll dance on top of this barren land
And give it life *again

Happiness in a bottle cap
Where is my home?
Cause I'm never going back.

Bruised and bleeding knees
I stood still to befriend the bees
I stood as still as a tree

This mirror is fogged
But I can still see
The beautiful me
A halo of light surrounds my silhouette
My inner self I will never forget

I don't really care
About trends and fads
I am concerned with eyes and hands
Let's look each other's eyes
and reach out each other's hands
To support one another
To share love
To recognize the Oneness of everything.

Let's just do what we love to do
And forget the worries and anxieties that bog us down
Come on now,
Turn that frown upside down ;)

Silliness is a game
From silliness I can't refrain
It washes away the pain
It keeps me sane

I laugh a little too much
Smile a little too much
Cry a little too much too
But I'm living this life only once
And if you were as well, wouldn't you too?

You are my sunshine,
my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You'll never know dear,
how much I love you.
Please don't take
my sunshine away.

blood
lots of it
shooting down
from the sky
the blood
of brothers
of neighbors
of two sides
pitted against
one another
so much blood
i think i just
might drown
in all of the
sticky
warm
crimson
fluid
gushing from
every orifice
mixing
in a whirl
of DNA
who knows why
maybe it was because
they were
so much closer
it could have been
new technology
or old medicine
but what i do know is
that those years
caused more than
just bloodshed
they ripped
our land
to shreds
and from the
blood-soaked soil
flowers bloomed
and everything was
normal again
except for the fact
that each and every
flower
grew to be
a heavy blood-red
to remind us
of the people
we ravaged
so i guess
it really wasn't
okay
after all

you call yourself a friend
but you've got a collection of knives
you contemplate each day
hmm which should i use this time?
how about the steal her boyfriend blade,
thats quite a lethal one
or maybe i'll use the
gossip about her *** life knife
that always seems to shut her up
ooh i know the one
its perfect, really,
i call it the
act like everything's fine machete
one stab
and its all it takes
for her whole foundation
to crumble to the ground

Sitting in silent bliss,
absorbed in the Absolute,
that perfect smile
so at home
on your beautiful,
radiant face.

Regal as a queen, laughter
busts out of you
suddenly
like tropical rain.

A colorful flower opening
in time-lapse magic.

Hands of finest delicacy,
refined by teaching
the pathless path
to infinity.

A mind as clear and wise
as the heart is kind,
strong and loyal.

Infinite tenderness is
the Unity within you.

One early morning,
first of your birthdays
I was to celebrate,
watermelon juice whirred
to completion while I cut
two huge banana leaves
on which to place my gifts
before your door.

In the yogic flying hall,
just a little later,
there you were, transformed.

A Balinese angel wearing jade
green wings sat amongst us.
Soft dark hair swept up into a
sanyasi's top knot, and that
same eternal smile of bliss.

You were wearing the love I had
given you, making those giant leaves
into wings that would carry us into
decades of friendship, through
passages of loved ones, and
life's hardest challenges.

Unfathomably,
wherever we are on
Mother Earth,
we are always we,
even as you are you,
and I am always me.

Spent the day sick.
Nausea filling my hours.
Laying here now.
Music blaring.
Soaking in a steaming hot bath.
Tea in hand.
Fruit, Chocolate, and Gummy Bears by my side.
Candles lite in the distance.
I remember no matter how bad it gets.
How unpleasant you feel.
Life always has it peaceful moments to keep you sane.
