At dusk the whimpering tree line
disappears at the gate

The crickets fiddling songs,
caressing wings, silence fleeting,
in vibration of their evening tour

Up and down we wander
feeling for the warmth of the equator

Arriving in the bitter cold of the Arctic
after reading all the signs wrong

Turning to avoid the flashing lights

Stubborn, unable to listen to the correct directions

I can still feel your essence from
above and behind
Tears drip into this coffee of mine
Limbs are tied with wires alive
Electric bee stings of fire and ice
King of the rodeo rides rough and disguised
Cigarettes, caffeine, pills, cheap thrills
Same me but flipside
Nursing this fire that’s straining to climb
Blowing till im blue, stayin’ alive
Sphinxes are rolling their disco ball eyes in the sky
And then I spy dragons and skulls with lazer minds behind

Sharing from the moment
Thoughts playing out
All the possibilities
What could've been said
What was said all the reaction
The vibes and tones have been set
Always some type of regret
Love is a foundation staying strong
Peace not always easy to maintain
Respect yourself others levels of pain

I stop reading you
I decide to write
I write all about you
You become my poem
I stop reading you
And I get lost
I get you to stop reading me
We are in a story

I'm busy busy busy
I'm late I'm late I'm late
I've got to meet a rabbit
I've got to meet my fate

For if you trip and stumble
And take a long long fall
You might take some comfort
In the writing on the wall

It says the cakes a lie!
The roses never were red!
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
The last words that they said

There's no time for fantasy
The world's out of hand
Visit Alice another time
Curse that wonderland

We're living in the matrix
Dot dash, dot dot dot dash
We just have to accept it
As we wait for it to crash

One foot in and one foot out
Abstractify, you lazy lout
Yes, I'm sure reality's an illusion
But I can't afford to live in confusion
