You never really know how strong you are until you're alone,
crying and forced to pick yourself up off the floor.
That is when you can truly see how big your emotional muscles are
and I promise
they are bigger than you ever thought possible.
Flex them.

You loved me,
to depths and breadths,
of your fertile imagination.
But refused to understand,
the love I needed.

I loved you too,
the ways you wanted,
to be loved and cherished.
Your dreams were mine,
to fulfill, to make true.
And I tried.

But in this understanding,
and not understanding,
Seeing and not seeing,
we lost each other,
to the powers of being.

What remained was hate,
in your gullet,
and still remained,
your picture in my wallet.

I feel the end in your embrace
A never type of forever where we both become the water we drown in
Its not the kiss that leaves me reeling it's the taste

And the dust that becomes the stars that set
Is the dust that makes us as we rise
We are the morning, even in our twilight*

I fear no end in your embrace, the kiss of young stars on our lips will fall
and burn this love into our sky
the fading light will bind our souls when all the suns have set
A collaboration with Torin Galleshaw*

Thank you Torin for this gift which flowed so effortlessly from your poem "I want you to love me when I am old." It's a pleasure to be among so many wonderful writers - a ceaseless source of inspiration.

love?

seth
soft lavender skies
hollow wind chimes
calm, bright eyes
warm coffee and bare thighs
indoor heating
oatmeal eating
close, ****** seating
quiet breath
fathomless depth
crescent moon and breathing chest
my head laying on your breast
cloudy, white walls
purple dew, blue sky, you're tall
cold wooden floors,
on which I am sprawled
paint splatter, slow chatter
silent, happy laughter
thoughts of harmless disaster
my happily ever after
no this isn't love, not with a person, but with a concept of a perfect reality.

I have an urge to write words that make the soul cry
Weep tears of enlightenment
To summarize my life in a paragraph
No more body criticism, snipping my spaghetti straps
Running in a stumbled line away from confinement
Forgetting the word comprise
Reality takes a stand reminding me, who will be the mediocre house wife
Instead of making a dramatic exit, I drink whiskey and the world has plenty
