Standing like a model in a motel room-
jealous eyes can't open the blinds.
Every time, every time.

Je t'aime à la folie, broken frames.
These are beautiful songs for damaged people
that don't think they're all the same.

They taste like formaldehyde,
so hopefully they'll preserve me.
But, instead, they burn the room
as they kiss my neck and collarbone.
Lapdancing on my loneliness-
Please, let me remove my eyes and hands,
because I've seen and have felt too much.

You don't understand:
everything is ideation
and demisexuality.
Double entendre:
I'm a toxic lover,
I have girls around my waste.

Take a look around and see how damaged everyone is,
and how universal they are in their illusory disguise,
"How can we be so smart if the last line was redundant, guys?"

Je t'aime à la folie, broken frames.
This is just a mediocre song for damaged people,
so they believe they're not all the same.

Don't feel too much.
Remove introspection.
Be self-absorbed.
Feel no affection.

My room tells about
all the people that haven't been in it
no one has watched a movie
or laid on the carpet
too drunk to stand, but
**** it was a good party
no

The clothes on the floor
whisper loneliness
as if it's the only word they know
how could they have learned
more than that?
they've only seen one soul
just me
pulling at the sheets
afraid at night
dreading that the dark air
might get too

close

But really...

I miss the cool air
that would radiate from your skin
and the crisp smell of autumn
that would waft from your jeans
when you'd climb into bed
fully clothed at 3 in the morning
I miss your cigarette breath
gently whispering "hi"
to me in my state of half sleep
and the way you'd always
leave the room at the exact
moments when I wanted
to hold you the very most
so that every second
you were out of reach
I was aching

While dreams are afloat
And seems impossible
Levitate your mind
To be among them
Dreams are yours
Waiting to be a reality
Belief is a magic wand

Take another drag
As you pull my hair
I wonder if this is everything
Life has to offer

Pour another drink
With your hand up my skirt
Is this really who I am?

There are glasses of wine
Spilled on the carpet
And I think this couple
****** on my bed
I want everyone out
But I'll miss the company

There are carvings on my wall
And words etched into my mind
Light another cigarette
As you pull me from behind

Everyone's disappointed in me
I swear I thought I was free
There's really nothing left here
I want to leave

Why do we feign such rapturous delight,
in pretence to others that all is alright,
what if the soul is quietly suppressed,
cloaked in darkness, hidden and repressed,

Are we ashamed to drape the veil,
to retreat into darkness and embrace the pale,
truth can be found from deep in a frown,
so why wear the clothes and tears of a clown.

It's four in the morning
my mourning lays dormant in me
tears I should have cried
years I want to retry
cigarette smoke burns my eyes
but dry they remain
I lose sleep over the things
I could have lost or gained
my mind a bullet train
speeding toward a cliff
made up of
"What if?"

You don’t need to try so hard.
You can wear the clothes you want.
Do whatever you please,
Express yourself the way you know how.
You can wear those heels
Just because you love them.
Your true friends will accept you
And all your little quirks.
It’s time to let it go,
Let go of all your fears of judgement.
Stop caring what people think of you,
It’s none of your business anyways.
You are who are for a reason.
You’re crazy, eclectic,
A miss independent and a little rebellious.
You like to defy the norms of society
So why aren’t you doing it?
Let go of all those rules and make your own.
You’ve always stood for the outcasts,
Paving your own path,
Cutting the trees blocking your way.
Why care now about fitting in
When you’re a shining gem?
You were born to lead, to conquer.
This is your destiny, you’ve always worn
Your individuality just like a badge.
Don’t become submissive,
Stop looking for approval,
You won’t find it anywhere
But inside of yourself.
It’s the self-acceptance that comes first,
There’s no better friend than you.
Go on, look in the mirror.
Remember, you better like who you are,
That is the person you’ll be stuck with
For the rest of your life.
Enjoy all the strangeness,
All the weird parts of your personality.
There’s no refunds, no exchanges.
You are who you are and that
Is perfection; no matter what anyone says.
Accept who you are now,
Accept all the growth to come.
You can accomplish even your
Wildest dreams, those shooting stars.
It’s time to just be,
Time to stop leaning on societies
Ideals and march on out
With head held up high.
Self acceptance is all you need.

Hands, plural to make us one
Near the end of August the heat told me to stop
It's vicious, wanting you
No milder than the jaws of winter

And every person not you cuts
On the street, our wounded lips
Before October and on silver screens
Your face projected on everything

You wanted the cinema, I thought
So I spoke fumbled niceties at your door
But the camera was stuck in my eye

And the words I scripted shifted into your mouth
The breaths I take, the breaths I shout
Your smile corroded in the rain
Your endless longing,
My endless shame

It keeps me in this thought
That what I feel has no name
But the credits crept up with the dregs of December
Money is noisy, and I liked your quietudes

But the snow will blanket my blood-buoyant bright
And I will drown into night
To lay by you until dawn
To lay by you until you are gone
