Missing you always did feel like starving to death.
But I'm as addicted to the emptiness of your absence
As I am to the comfort of your love.
So close.
I was so close.
We
Were so close.
And now I want nothing more
Than to die of the lack of you,
However many years it may take.
Please splatter me onto the pavement
like
sunday morning jelly on toast.
I can examine each
single
blade of grass from this sweet high
but all I’m asking for is some **** sleep.

I bit open a lie and it tasted like you.
Sometimes when my mind drifts
it goes back to endless hallways
and that all too familiar scent
overtakes my senses

My spine actually cringes
at the thought of the needles
piercing the central nervous system
they forgot to numb

my thoughts swim in the pools
that formed in my mother's eyes
as she quoted the neurologist
"your son is dying."

I can still taste the confusion
that drowned my confidence
and left me wondering
if it'll ever resurface

my dreams never stopped crying,
if they even have the chance to exist
they're nothing short of terrifying,
nightmares replaced the rest

it's odd that I can remember
the sickness that consumed me
but completely and utterly forget
the happiness that prequeled it
12/29/13
I want to feel you
just a touch of soft thought
thought that wraps its way up my legs, pushing into my being
and out of my worn heart
a kiss that lingers longer than a dying star
flickering quickly and bursting into a thousand moments
that you cannot take away

I wan to feel the breath of each crushing minute
as life moves in waves, so do our bodies
waves that caress the shore of my entity
and wash across my thighs
sweeping over my body,
encompassing what is known and unknown
until you melt into my skin
molding love and life
into
one
single
being

Let your mind fill the spaces between my spaces.
Sentences are never complete,
You know, there's always room for more.
Imagination, like constellations,
And consternation from the procrastination of trying to connect the dots.
Which is which,
Steve Jobs once said to connect the dots of your future and your past.
Perhaps they'll create a Hercules of radiance,
Or a Cerberus of darkness.
In any case, there's always room for more.
Wouldn't "I love you" be better written as "Iloveyou",
Where there is no space for mistakes?
arts and crafts and kids on drugs
dream catchers and storytellers
in tree-houses and sheds
bare feet and bare legs

magic

let me share
i'll cut you a slice of the skies to keep in your eyes
so you can always see beauty
and learn to accept it when it's lying in front of you
remember how gorgeous life is

sunsets and fire pits and tents pitched in the mountains
solar flares and lunar eclipses
in telescopes lenses and lovers eyes

this IS profound
and we SHOULD take note
the universe bares wonderful gifts
and we are fools to let them slip so quickly through our hands
we've been here before
and we've known each other for eons
don't go forgetting

lava monsters and yellowing pages and smiles recognizable for miles
sage brush and card games
with cowboys and poets
cheap-seat prophets bound by collective conscious and some kind of mysticism

two-track game trails and smoke rings rising from the west
find your way home

i'll hide behind my sunset eyes and river-bed curves until your return
Time is just a theory
To explain how life goes by
Forever is just a word
Just another human lie

We're spending our lives waiting,
Wandering and lost.
Not knowing where we're going
Afraid of consequence and cost

But what's to fear?
When we're already there

We're trapped in an allusion
Trying to control
But our paths are ever out of reach
The prediction is untold.

So tell me, whats to fear?
When we're already there.
Old poem/song. :)

It's been almost a year
Since we parted ways.
You came to see me in the rain
I threw your flowers in your face
And pushed you away.
You stood there drenched
And watched the light on in my room.
And then turned and walked away.

It's been almost a year
And yet I still love you.
You who made me smile
the boy that drove me nuts.
I miss talking to you,
telling you I want to be with you.
I miss your laugh
when I tell you I need you.
I miss you.

A year and some days
Couldn't lessen the pain.
Of you telling me you loved me no more
but wanted one last night.
I can still feel the sting of my palm
From kissing your cheek with brute strength.
I can feel the rage that fueled selfworth.
I turned and walked away.

I hope you got a good look
Of the last time you will watch me
Walking away with ruthless intent.
When you are alone a year from now
Remember you lost a good thing
and how I loved you.

It's been almost a year
I thought I was done.
But if you rang the doorbell
I would fly into your arms
And forget the past.
Not the love we shared ;
Just the pain.
I still dream about you.
