The uniVerse
Beauty lies bereft and bound
it cries for help but utters no sound
mascara kisses fade from your lips
etched by lovers worn fingertips
purple rings around sullen eyes
the broken skin it never lies
fists of thunder make not the man
nor the swift strike of back of hand
a thousand apologies can never repair
the displacement of a single hair
for she is not an object for you to own
she is a Queen that deserves a throne
and if she allows you to enter her chamber
it's also her decision if you should remain there.
her beauty is boundless
and cannot be tamed
all those who try
should be shamed

If only I could cut my face smaller
shut my lips
and close my eyes forever

I broke a rule
broke two

I'm a mismatch

I broke the rules
only to tell people not to

I wish I could pull off my ears
grow longer legs

If only I could see myself
the way she did

Now we rest
miles away

I can't remember the feeling of your love

I left because I was tired of living with ghosts

You and I
no longer met each others eyes

Your voice didn't reach my heart
When you couldn't hear mine

I'm living in the American dream

Swimming pools
at 7 degrees

Moments fall around me like snow

When I die
I will see all the snowflakes melt

the black rose
may we meet our hearts desires & make bonds we can’t forget,
may we conquer all obstacles, & live a life we won’t regret.
may we create a space that’s warm and safe for generations to come.
may we stop the madness,
dismiss the sadness,
may we all just live as one.
we are all one people, we were all created EQUAL ❤️❤️
black or white, yellow or tan we are ONE.

Those are the most powerful
words I have

I say them as often
as necessary

and follow
with a genuine smile

Grinning
a better life.

I've loved many boys
With different colored eyes
But the way I remember them is
By the shape of their hands

The way their thumbs curved
Or how their palms felt against my own
The weight of them on my thighs
Or how they ran through my hair

The times they zipped up my dress
And settled on my shoulders
The moments when they grazed my own
As they handed me my keys

The motion of them as they spoke
And the motionless of them when they were silent
The smoothness of them in the beginning
And the calluses after time had passed

Sometimes, I forget the faces of these boys
Or the way their voice sounded over the phone
But I'll never forget the way it felt
With their hands intertwined in my own

I find myself craving you
You're the thing I want most
That I know I can't have
For it is the forbidden fruit
That tastes all the more sweeter
