Ask them some simple questions
See if they’ve done their homework

And how does fiat money work?
And why Bitcoin might be sounder?

What’s relevant about that year?
And from the short whitepaper
What is meant by peer to peer?

Name two countries where it’s used
To protect from high inflation
And two more where Bitcoin helps
The people in oppressed nations

Maybe they know, maybe they don’t
Yet you’ll see how much they know
And maybe asking these questions
Will cause their knowledge to grow

An opinion based in ignorance
It’s worth?  Not very great
And maybe they will do the work
To improve their financial fate

Why do you fancy global elite
Try to sweep us under your feet?
Does it make you feel complete
To make others’ lives less sweet?

Are you really so hungry for power
That free people make you sour?
And you labor hour by hour
To take property and devour?

Our lives, liberty and property
Don’t need your shaping or tyranny
Your rules for us, but not for thee
Enjoy your wealth - let us be free

Do you really believe your lies
To deceive and plan and devise?
Causing power to centralize
In your control, since you’re so wise?

Bitcoin opens freedom’s door
So we can choose and plan for more
Our life and liberty we restore
Your great reset we do abhor

The security of a nation
By armies, tanks, and guns
Expends a lot of energy
But protects our lands and funds

It’s cheaper to defend ourselves
With flowers in children’s hands
But it won’t be as effective
In defending our lives and lands

The cryptographic proof of work
Has served us well for years
It’s not the same as proof of stake
Which will end in regret and tears

True consensus takes some work
This is a feature, not a bug
Bitcoin was built with energy
Not with flowers - not with hugs

Flowers and hugs are mighty fine
But won’t make a network secure
It takes a lot of energy
To make the ledger safe and sure

Through centuries of history
The same old money taint
Creeps in with fiat bewitchery

Temptation comes to everyone
There is no perfect saint
Though limits may restrict the fun
