alex
your smell is stuck in my head
i made it up but i know it’s true

i daydream of your hands on my cheeks
your lips on my lips
my fingers in your hair
and i can smell it

you sing strawberries and watermelons but
you smell like firewood and ink
its my most absurd fantasy
that you could find a piece of me to love
so i’ll keep your voice in my ears
and let you sing me to sleep
with that sugar and salt melody

if it burns my tongue
then so be it.
is this about harry styles and his new album? i’ll never tell.
Forget the crimson lips and heart,
forget they made you pale
Just write about your aching being,
Forget the fairytale.

Paint not a picture of your dreams,
Envisaging sweet laughters
Face life and look beyond,
Beyond the happily ever afters.
she stood at the top of the building
staring at the people living
walking around selfishly
unforgiving
speeding entities looking devilishly up at her
and laughing, who is she kidding?
her paranoia takes control
she sees herself fall gracefully
her body is what they stole
but her soul lingers peacefully.
an enigma, staring at the scene that took its toll
as an image that will never be forgotten.
like a paranoid Polaroid.
burnt into her eyes
Her own paranoid Polaroid.
Someday

I would read this poem

written on 3:22

and realise

that I like you no more
I told myself I liked peace
but the chaos is exhilarating.
I run from problems to let the animosity build.
I keep quiet to infuriate.
I plant myself in equations where my presence isn’t wanted.
Anger fuels the quiet
Words drench the flames
