The old me dismayed,
Reaching, grasping for the knife,
The new me refuses.
Each moment,
Held, sustained,
Drawn out,
So I can spend more time with you.
I let it last,
Longer than I can't.
Open to interpretation, originates from a typo.
But this is my deathbed,
I lay here alone.
And if I close my eyes tonight,
I know I'll be home...
Life
is just a
roller coaster
of ups and of downs
of ins and of outs, twisting,
turning, rising, falling, jerking, gliding,
sometimes you can see the turns coming
sometimes you take them blind,
going with the flow, being
tossed and taken, and
bruised, shaken,
just part of
life.
Unintentionally
Sweet to the taste
Her fingertips crumble
And she melts away
After just one storm
Dissovled in the rain

Inevitably
Hard to swallow
The flavor on your tongue
Masks the pain
Of chewing on broken glass
Until there is nothing left of her
But a few
Sugar crusted shards
brevity must rule

bring thoughts, into sharp focus

EXERCISE RESTRAINT
finding one's soul

is to light the candle's flame

so the path can be seen
The old me constrained,
Begging, pleading me for death,
The new me refuses
