Life is mostly a gap between expectation and reality and our constant efforts to try and bridge this gap...these two meet once in a while but mostly they tend not to see eye to eye.

I'll keep walking on the roads
Travelling through places
Seeing new faces
I'll watch sunrises
I'll witness sunsets
I'll swim in the seas
I'll wander through the forests
I'll climb the mountains
I'll stroll through the meadows
I'll sleep under the blanket of stars
I'll marvel at the beauty of the moon
Maybe I'll reach my destination someday
And if not then I'll become a good traveller

deep within her soul
behind a keyless door
sleeps a dancer who flows freely
with the staccato rhythms of life
and that with her fluid motions
creates a shining world of love

but now the goddess sleeps peacefully
hibernating in enchanted lullabies
while shes lays dormant deep within
until her chamber door is opened
and she bursts into radiant life
finally escaping her prison of fear

sometimes i think they sap the love and happiness from me
but that is okay
i can always produce more
that is my purpose

i do think they prune me of what need not be there, though
that's useful to me
i'm scared of vine overgrowth
my roots stay in place

blessings and curses
warlocks and muses
some of the fleeting melodies this world uses
diminishing moments
crescendoing hours
the allegro of my heartbeat, facing these encounters
the event that struck a chord
intrepid, might i add
the milquetoast that's the real you
and the ego you wish you had

Late night texts
Sleepy eyes
Small smiles
Butterflies

Stolen moments
Held inside
Beating heart
Stupefied

~

Left alone
Tear filled eyes
Chapped lips
Scarred thighs

Empty promises
Cast aside
Broken heart
Terrified
