I so longed for you since I was a child
I'll never forget your touch; oh so mild
you were years ahead of me; I didn't care
all that mattered was your beauty; oh so rare

Mind, body and soul
The three essentials of life
Take good care of them

You were always
Someone to live for

And now you’re gone....
And now I’m alone....

And now,
I have something to die for.

Why does everyone leave me?

Edgar Allan Poe
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
  By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea:
But we loved with a love that was more than love—
  I and my ANNABEL LEE;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
  Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
  My beautiful ANNABEL LEE;
So that her highborn kinsmen came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
  Went envying her and me—
Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my ANNABEL LEE.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we—
Of many far wiser than we—
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
  Of the beautiful ANNABEL LEE.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
  Of the beautiful ANNABEL LEE;
And the stars never rise but I see the bright eyes
  Of the beautiful ANNABEL LEE;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea—
In her tomb by the side of the sea.

I feel like there’s too much on
my mind to write any of it down

everything seems to be speaking
everything wishes to be louder
all I can do is stare at my toes

my mind and body have been screaming
                         for months
    at me
            in general

it’s too much to write down
too much to let it out

                                 I might explode
                           or just deflate

I feel like I’ve been treading water
          for longer than I can

and my mouth and nose are finally, slowly
filling with water
            trickling down my throat
                           filling my belly
                as I sink
                       beneath the waves

Keep a secret
Tell no one
Keep a secret
The weight of a ton
Keep a secret
It's okay
Keep a secret
For one more day
Keep a secret
Don't tell
Keep a secret
Oh well
Keep a secret
Break their heart
Keep a secret
Fall apart
Keep a secret
Hurt lives
Keep a secret
Stab like knives
Keep a secret
Tell no one
Keep a secret
The weight of a ton
Keep a secret
Hurt no one

Be a secret.

It's 2:00 AM
but I am wide awake
Thinking of
the right colors
to paint
on my empty canvas
Poetry
has been my refuge
It has been
my outlet for creativity,
my outlet for happiness
and my outlet for sadness
It gives me great pleasure
to look for
the right words to say
It is
the manifestation
of my artistry

Living in a society
where the culture of elitism
is the norm
Poverty, a mortal sin
Those in the upper echelons
dictate the standards
The rich becomes richer
The poor becomes poorer
Equal opportunity is nothing more
than an idea from
a simpleton's mind
Change, merely spoken promises

Weather's changed, days have passed
One evening I received a call
I hear your voice my heart aghast
but this time, I won’t let myself fall
