everything's breaking
and i'm running
to the only place
i've ever known
to the only place
i've ever called home

i'm running to you-
it's time.

she's got a broken smile
for a broken heart
she likes to hope
her brokenness
is a work of art
lost in herself
she cannot breathe
around him, around her.
too many people
who aren't falling apart.
a broken smile
with a broken heart
her father says
she's a work of art
The fairies of the mound
hide under ground
when the light of the day reveals

But as the sun
makes it's final run
the fairies
come out to play

Then there are
those picked by stars
to be the forebearers
of burden and woe

They fly the skies
as night time byes
warning of death to come

Beware my friend
someone comes to an end
when the banshees
starts to wail

It's heard through wood or stone
in every home
no one escapes
the throes

And in the end
the wailing sends
another poor soul
to Hell

Banshees are a special breed
they come from the seed
of a star

In the mounds of folk
does their life evoke
a love afair of magic
from a man made out of a star

Sometimes the banshees will wail
when they think of the love
that parted so many years ago
and
so many light years away
Death reflects on clear water
  trapped inside plastic bottles
The scent of blood is choking
  the dust in the wind
And we lay here helplessly dreaming
  of who we could be
If we were not so afraid
  of who we are
lullabies laced with lies
i sang them everyday
convincing you and everyone else
but i let the truth decay
said i no longer cared
and at the moment i really didn't
but deep down inside
i knew i couldn't believe it
because at the end of the day
i really did care
but i knew it would hurt you
and it was a truth i didn't want to bear
i wanted to push it away
and appear the perfect person
but after so many mistakes
it's about time i learn my lesson

Her scent was ambrosia on his lips,
swimming within oceans
hearing the waters calling.

Waves gently lapped upon features.
As the ripples settled, he could taste
the essence of her, drowning in pleasure.
I lit a candle in midday
and watched how quickly
I'd forget about it

When your gaze shifts
and our eyes meet
I feel like a cookie crumble

He told me the palm of my hand
smells like cookie dough;
I was baked for you

I bet if animals could speak,
we wouldn't get along as much

How many times do I need to say
"there are some things better left unsaid"
before you finally understand?
