Infinite...
Is the cloudless sky....
Stretching above my head...

Infinite...
Is the bare ground...
That runs beneath my feet...

The only "finite" thing here is...
I and my life!
Random thoughts on the finitude of life and the infinitude of the world around me! Thanks for reading!

Come cries of new life
Signals the war of birthing
Hands held at your side

New day, new haiku!
This one is fot Eileithyia, Goddess of Childbirth.
Personally, I dont have any kids but I have been told many stories of how hard it is to go through, contractions and all. On top of that, I have read many tragic stories where the child lives but the mother does not.
Metaphorically speaking, it sometimes can be a difficult war to truly win as for some it can be bittersweet.
I wish all mothers, new and experience joy and happiness!

I never really got to thank you enough
For this, for caring, for being such an amazing friend, I never got to say thank you enough.

I remember losing myself in the ocean,
In the flower fields,
In the mountain range,
And in the universes that reside in your eyes.
I remember my heart fluttering at the sound of your chuckles,
I remember your voice that used to sooth my bleeding heart.

I loved you... and sometimes you loved me too.
I still have a little light left in this sepulchre of a heart,
I still see you there at times...
"Love is so short, forgetting is so long..."

My fingers through your hair
leaves your hair
through my fingers.

We chase each other
in circles,
cause we like
where we're at.
