You are the abundance of stars only visible to the dreamer in the wake of night

The sun and its companions as they glow to shine a light on the surface of your skin

You are the mischief that forms the toothy grin on the face of a child’s curiosity

The everlasting glow on their faces as they question the world around them

And I am lost in translation, confused, amused and somewhat enchanted

To you I am the clouds that hide away your blue skies

But to me I am the ones that shield you from the glare of a jealous sun

And to each other we are foreign, bordered and misunderstood

Lost in translation I’m waiting for you to understand ,
That to you; you’re nothing, but to me; you’re my dreamland

maybe people are meant
to fall in love
but not meant
to be together.

i was coming to terms with this
only to find out
we werent in love.
i was.
you never loved me
you didnt feel anything for me
you tried to,
but loving someone isnt something
you can make happen.

we always said we were meant to be, right?
soulmates
perfect for each other
you said our love was pure
and real
and unbreakable.
look at it now,
its shattered.

falling in love with you
was the easiest thing
ive ever done.
falling out of love
will be the hardest.
i guess the [lovers] code has been cracked.

my brain is pulsing
my mind tries to escape my skull
an empty head pounding toxic waste
i remember nothing before the pain
and wonder if there exists an after

my other me is busy curling up
on the cold tile bathroom floor
while i lie in bed struggling with the pain
we both know for sure
that somewhere out there i must be happy

we lie in the tub convinced
that if i can just get the water hot enough
to burn away my flesh and
make my muscles forget
i will be cured

my taps are cursed
and the water pressure is never enough
to force it all back where it came from
eventually, i will be purged

The next step
Not the first step.
Not the last step.

Please let me heed Amber's advice.

Let me listen and practice.

Secularity. Organizing my room. Calling family. Walking. Basketball.

Not mystic flight.

Steps.

i want you
to
break me
with your words
with your tongue
i want you to give me all of your pain;
share it with an old, broken soul.

'want' is such a shallow word
rings of childishness and greed.

i need you to **** me
slowly, gently
let them know
it's you, as i plead
look at me here, sobbing
i need you
to give me
relief.
inspired, but all mine.
