The moon knew its shade
And never once it changed
Forms it changed,
As forever it should
Promises made
Forever
Unchanged

night has come
day is done
Put all troubles
behind you
Close your eyes
dream your dreams
of places faraway
no more worries
Just relax
Let your body
be still
good night ladies
farewell gentlemen

Oh how the spider
Laboriously builds a web
Fine silver threads
Shine in the golden sun
Perhaps drying from
The morning dew
Such a fragile design
Man can't  remake

Sleep away sleep away
Will have plenty
Of time.for that
Go away go away
No time for that
What is there

Don't have a pocketful of money
But a *** of memories
No name brands or
Painted toes and shiny nails
Have a kleenex
For a tear
And a song in my heart
You gave me all
That money can't buy
I'm the richest woman
In the world
You shared your wealth
With me
You couldn't talk
But you smiled at me
No walking but
A wheelchair you rode to me
A trembling hand
A three o'clock  hug
All of this and heaven too
That's why I'm banking
Just on you
I'm retiring as a special ed aide these thoughts came to my mind I miss the
Children already and its not
Even Monday

I tried to bury the hurt
deep, deep inside.
But it returns to haunt me,
because I buried it alive.

You disappeared from me
My pen ink paper
Worst yet my thoughts
Where did they go
Are they out wrapped
Around the moon
Is that what we see
At night
The lost words
Of poetic minds
Or blue cheese

Frozen in a frame
In monochrome
Quintessential the fashion and
The whimsy rains

It allows you not, to dawdle
Gently you are pushed to be a part of the daily cavalcade

A rainy day in the metro
From times retro
