Sky
Perhaps a burble, a ripple in the brook
A reflection of the sky in a beryl look
From azure to ashen its all the same
Daylight fades to the sound of the rain
Back to read a few to Love Like and Quote.

Your touch keeps me awake at night,
its depth is like an angel's wing;
Light as a feather yet burns with desire,
you have always been my everything.

From first we met in the dawn of day,
the summer sun glowing strongly;
Your eyes sparkled like the ocean's waves,
I had never felt such intense longing.

Now it's Autumn and we're still together,
tied in knots of faded bittersweet berries;
The memories captured now in sheer delight,
our hopes are glorious with no time for worries.

We're off on a journey to stake our claim,
the winds will soon shift in our direction;
We'll never be lost as long as we live,
every day is filled with love and affection.
I found this among my older pieces...it was an "homage" to my husband and our everlasting love. I could change it, but I'll keep it short and sweet !  FEM

at the furthest
                        reach from me,

somewhere on the other side
                        of these lucid hills,

a box of sun has been
                        opened,

cut into manageable
                        pieces,

and given to all the young
                        dreaming denizens,

to blow with all
                         they have

inside their strong little
                         lungs--
                                    up,
                                          up,
                                                upward
into the sky,

circulating light
                          until it dawns as us all.
