Double standards of how men and women should act, dress or be treated.
Miss out everyone inbetween. Making them seem as though they never existed.
I'm not saying double standards are good

I can feel the end
I've no room left to bend
Straight to hell all this will send

Punitive laws effect change
Nature's ways to derange
Separate rules to estrange

Take from one give to another
If in doubt rule for the mother
Elevate the sister and hold back the brother

Just 200 years if you could read youre a witch
But that's not enough time for this kind of switch
Your rocket to the top leaves us in a ditch

If we put the hens in charge
Next door's roosters will barge
loss of women's freedom large

There'll be and end to the time
When your life was sublime
You had it all on my dime

tell the man he needs a wife
tell the horse he needs a saddle
do we owe the past our life
float down the river throw out our paddle

should i not complain
you advance i remain
stereotype me from the past
your fabulous image changing so fast

we'll be shakin to the rapper
renamed lawrence welk
its too late now to slap her
the future is all about the milk

we didn't
know we wrote
          our names
   into snow,
scrolled
our
         soul into
soil,
our toil invisible
on
         maps but
held
as heavy as
breath
         in cold air,
our love, death
birth, despair
        who we
were written
indelibly
into this
               earth
As I grow in Oneness
Within The Lord whom I abide
Strength, Wisdom, and true wellness
Are blossoming inside

My heart is pumping full of
Peace and ease
As I'm overcoming task
I never fathomed I would achieve

The most important factor
Is that I owe it all to The One
For without The Wonderful Counselor
The Mighty God
I would have never overcome

My heart knows
He has greater task for me ahead
I pray daily
when these task arise I will grasp to succumb

Loveless
It can enrage the angels
Devils it can make serene
Most powerful creation
Anyone has ever seen

Peace in cruel hell
It's rhymes can create
It's emotions can bring
The heavens to hate
Poems are magical
She sits from where
the rainbow arches into the river.

As I eye her fishing net
she reads the question in my mind.

I'm waiting for three thirty
when tides begin to fall
but the shrimps can't go back.

When the bank begins to bare
she glides into the waves
till the water cools her *******.

I walk away knowing
she would bob up to the hour
the moon is upon her face
and she has made another morrow
from the river.
