Knowing it is just a patience game
We sit, we play the game, we wait;
The honking geese, a gaggle,
Beneath a crest of the moon.
Frost and snow and the geese,
A distant fox is patient, too.

Coincidentally, things happened this way
Yesterday's strangers have become my Known ones today
Still there's a pang in my heart over her departure
Don't know why all the answers have turned into questions these days..!
Trying a little Urdu... learning from the poetries of Jaun Eliya (one of the most famous modern Urdu poets, born in India, later shifted to Pakistan after partition).

Healer
It's evident that the sun is setting in my life,
but for once I so badly wants to be a sunrise.

You
You by my side
You standing near
You next to me
You I hold dear
You are a need
Which I fill
As often as possible
You are sustenance

Fling back your sling-backs
To me!  Ain't nothing gonna bar
Your unbridled joy of runnin'
Through that cool grass.

The poetry of life, like a big dog, sinks
It's teeth into you and shakes you.
Bitten to the bone you are infected.
My heart beats truly for
You and this love is so
Beautiful to and
I'm finally in love with you
And the day has come
To marry you
And now our love
Is so perfect and Magical
And my life it is complete
Because I love you.
True Love ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
It seems not so very long ago
The two of us, together by the sea
Watching nature’s charm in harmony .
The melody of kissing waves the only sound to hear.
With you by my side I didn’t care
Now , just a memory of what used to be
All by myself still watch the tides
Can feel your presence next to me.
While looking at those empty chairs,
I realize that after all this years
Still miss your peaceful being.

We all end alone. First two then one.
Sometimes after decades of being together.
It’s heartbreaking.
We all are confronted with “ empty chairs of life “
at certain point.

They lived a life in the dark shadow of slavery
And had become like the black cherries
They sneaked, so astringent they puckered the mouth.
They ate them, anyway, out of necessity.
Lizzie had said to Nat that she would wade
Through blood and tears for her freedom;
And, she did, they both did,

Nourished and aided by the kindness of strangers.
William Still conducted his railroad and with the withal, drive,
And the necessity of freedom, that basic human necessity, they ran.
1857 was the year to run.  On June 10, 1858, Nat sent a letter
To the conductor: "Sir, be so kind as to . . ."
It contained a message to his family in Maryland,
"He and Lizzie were safe and free."
