 Jan 2022 My Dear Poet
Nigdaw
somewhere there's a party
you're not invited to
but the little red dress
will gate-crash the venue
desperately trying to cover
more than it reveals
it will have a better time
than ever you can imagine
until disappointment reveals
it clothes a mere mortal
not some Hellenic goddess
a mirage of alcohol
a signal of distress
somewhere there's a party
you shouldn't be invited to
full of danger, anguish
and an end to innocence
“I like smiling in the rain” I say
“Why?” asked the sunny day
“ No one can see my pain”
I say as I sit and smile, my pain dripping off me disguised as this beautifully deadly rain.
Rewrite was edited, used to say
"I say as I sit and smile while my pain is disguised as rai "

Kiss me in the east
So I can set in the west
To wish sweet dreams
For your eyes every night
"Maybe
I can be kissed sunset pink
And colored across the sky?
Lets try before you leave this time."
I'm a Mountain
I'm a Rock -
I am Everything
That I'm Not

Ain't it funny,
this little show
Of Play Pretend
what You are Not?

All difficulties have been resolved, and life has returned to its natural state of green... yeah, I was just reading the last sentence of a borrowed novel.
