After we die
We all become stories

Stories of our failures
Stories of our glories

After we die
We all become a memory

Memory stored in a treasury
Our wings shall be feathery

After we die
We all become a poem

Earth we will roam
But we shall never return home

After we die
We all become alive

We will all survive
And in the new kingdom we'll thrive
If I could
I'd take your smile
put it away until times weren't kind
I'd add it to the wink you left behind
That would carry me through most anything.

If I could
I'd preserve your kiss
Keep it safe until times of loneliness
Reminds me distance keeps you from me
I'd open the lid and let the touch
Carry me to you

Jada
pregnant with jealousy
I give birth
and cradle it in my arms
I let it cry ... scream ... **** ...
then I sing a lullaby
and remind us that we are still
loved
until it shrinks
and crawls back into my gut
While you’ve been smiling
I’ve been dying.

While you’ve been laughing
I’ve been crying.

While you’ve been kissing her
I’ve remained alone.

While you’ve been talking with her
I’ve been drowning in silence.

While you’ve been dreaming
I’ve been thinking of you.

While you’ve been happy
I’ve been writing stupid poems
And wishing death upon myself
Because I see no light at the end of the tunnel.
Like 3 of my poems were too long and I feel like not many peeps read them bc of that, so I decided to break them up as best as I could into chunked single poems.

A wooden palace for the dead
had everyone came in black
flowers, voices, mother earth was awake
To celebrate, regret and retract

The living came to purify their souls
By invigorating adorned cathedrals
And singing songs about loss

Almost as on a causal wedding day
They did not come to celebrate the dead
But to cry about the left behind
Together, to feel more alive

And they were dancing
Around the gone
Voices creating vibration of air
Which sounded peacefully
To the song of despair

It is, yes it is
So utterly wild
The jungle moans
And all clouds cry
From far away
Royal roars chime
A kingdom of lions
So utterly wild

In silent woods
Far from the haze
Two are running barefoot
Through sparkling waves

A significant interaction
of clouds so cristal clear,
The surface‘s turquoise,
And two devouring pristine air

Fires
Tornados
Reckless behaviours
Wars
And scars
See, that‘s our world

And don‘t forget
That people are dying
Day for day
From illness
And pain
Because they have been put
Into deadly chains
this is reality -

Bluish mornings
The best to discover
Bright glowing orange
To leave your fingertips
Bond with the sun
Feel the horizontal verge
