Life can be so boring
but still I awake in the morning
living daily hidden in the shadow
hoping to escape life's battle
only to lose the fight
in the city of light

Looking into a shattered mirror
seeing the true image of what I am
pained by the fake smile shown
saddest one's usually smile the hardest
we just can't help our self
we are built to hide behind  the mask
we worked so hard to create
just to feel wanted where we don't belong
to feel like we are truly alive in this world
the world we wish we weren't born into

Unable to raise a white flag to your good friend
your mind continues its destruction from within

Excessive thoughts and troublesome plights the enemy continues its rampage through the night
Strength unbearable impossible to fight
Incarcerating you to the prison that is your mind
