Like stars they burn and burn away
Leave me in cold empty day
This path I chose feels like a winding snare
Has led me only to despair.
Jhamarie Feb 10
Her curtains are blue.
You painted it yellow.
Jhamarie Feb 22
You painted shadows, on my mental wall,
A darkened hallway, where I fear to crawl.
Each creaking sound, a phantom in the night,
A whispered threat, steals my inner light.
I walk on eggshells, fearing every tread,
The anxious path, your presence has instead.
Jhamarie Feb 16
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
One leads to love, the other, goodbye.
My heart it trembles, torn in two,
Which choice to make, what shall I do?
Jhamarie Mar 4
I keep it hidden every feeling deep
A private space where my emotions sleep
I say your name in silent, gentle ways
And build a world of remembered days.
Jhamarie Feb 15
Time pass by and seasons turn
That first love's ember still burn
A memory cherished, bittersweet
A feeling nothing can defeat

For I feel love and free
You opened up my heart to me
And though our paths may now diverge
My first love's flame will always surge.
Jhamarie Feb 24
The path we tread, a winding way,
The garden blooms, or fades to gray,
And in your soul, what flowers sway?
Jhamarie Mar 22
I chased the butterflies your actions spun
Only to learn they were a phase undone
My subtle words a love I longed to share
Met with a silence a feeling beyond repair

A single word and I'd have crossed the waves
And build a world that I long to dream
But deeper knowing brings a deeper fall
Your crave for silence to escape it all

I wished you knew this hope so frail and slight
Longed for your words to make it truly bright
To bury moments and release your hold
And if I asked, what story would be told?
I dedicate this poem to my long-unrequited love. I hope you know how I feel, and if I ask, please don't . . .

Heartbreak isn't just about
shattering of love
It's the quiet collapse of the
world you built around someone
It's the mornings that feel to heavy
the nights that stretch too long
and the spaces between your ribs were
their absence now lingers
You don't just lose a person
You lose the version of yourself that existed with them
and though the pain feels endless like an echo that
refuses to fade there's a strange kind of beauty
In the way it reshapes you
Because even in breaking
You're becoming and one day you'll realize you're stronger
for surviving that ache.

Slow down, dear heart
Let your feelings lie
Not in your storm but in
His quietness rain
Love isn't just a word to say,
but the quiet ways we choose to stay.
A touch, a glance, the space we fill
Love is present even still.
This poem I made it by what I understand about the song of Friends, Lovers or Nothing by John Mayer. Thus love is only a basis to friendship or it is more than that?

I knew this feeling clear and deep
The way the world takes on a hue
Of vibrant light a softened grace
A smile reflected in your face.

This quiet bond a secret kept
Where others fail and others slept
We'll find our love in silent grace
Defined by us in time and space.

I lay before you what my soul can bear,
A simple truth, a breath of living air.
Yet, raise no towers on my earthly dust,
For I am but a hand, in which you trust.
To hold back love is to betray
A silent truth we push away
For hearts that feel yet dare not say,
are only lying in delay.

To my platonic soulmate,
We were not meant to be romantic.
We were just meant to be.

Although the love we have each other
is undeniable and although the love
we have each other exists,

It was not meant to stretch beyond
the pure unions of friendship.
It was not meant to stretch at our heartstrings
but instead it was meant to gently massage them into peace.
It was not meant to stretch your leg over my shoulder
at three o'clock in the morning
after a night filled with laughter and conversation.

It was not meant to stretch past the boundaries we subconsciously
set to ensure that things don't get complicated.
It was not meant to stretch our connection into emotional destinations that have no return tickets if we took that plunge.

Romance is not the only reason the universe brings souls together.
Growth and love can exist without it.
Perhaps we were not meant to be romantic
Perhaps we were only meant to be.

I told my soul to rest to let your absence be
But why this constant falling make this soul's insanity
Each glimpse, a bitter nectar a joy that cuts like pain
How do I unweave this feeling?

This feeling of consuming chain
I've waited through the silence
Where dreams have turned to gray
Now I'm steeped in blue, where longing holds its sway.
I want to burry this kind of feeling and just move on. But how? how can I unloved someone I have loved for so long?

No need for words, the heart can see,
A mirrored depth, where spirits be.
A knowing glance, a silent hum,
Two souls entwined, as one they've come.

Where in this world, of fleeting things,
Soulmate love, forever sings.
A pure connection, thru thick and thin
My platonic soulmate , were not meant to be.

A sweet voice in your written word,
A stolen hour, like none I've heard.
Mr. Sunshine you caught my falling hair,
A fleeting joy, I never knew.

This fragile bloom, a whispered grace,
A stolen moment, distance ,time and space
Moment's breath, a held, exquisite dream
The heart's canvas, memory's trace.

SUN
You were darkness,
I searched for your light,
I've realized I'm worthy of the sun.
Jhamarie Feb 18
Magnificent ray, beyond wonders
Bewildered in your awe
Hope in your orange hue

Though days are hard
It may feel empty and sad
Lost in a parable of life

Sunset you are the most beautiful sight
Painted my sky with your golden ray
You give color before my darkness
A hope of dawn for a new day

"You said you like me, but I'm not sure you
understand what that means."
Jhamarie Feb 25
No longer fooled by sweet disguise,
She shields her soul from judging eyes.
For trust, once given, now denied,
Leaves only emptiness inside.
Jhamarie Feb 24
I send my words upon the whispered wind,
A fragile message, hoping it will find
Your listening ear, your heart's receptive space,
To bridge the gap, and time's relentless chase.
Each gust a sigh, a longing to be near,
A phantom touch, to banish every fear.
Love unspoken is a whispered lie
A truth restrained left high and dry
For anything less than ' I love you'
Is a heart denying what it already knew.
Jhamarie Feb 13
In silent nights, I call your name,
Yet echoes fade like distant flame.
A love once bright, now dim and cold,
A story left in sorrow told.

The stars still shine, the moon still glows,
But in my heart, the shadow grows.
For love remains, though you have flown,
And I am here, yet still alone.
