I stroked her headstone gently
whispered to the dead show me
asking for a preview of death
when I finally take my last breath
will I haunt my lovers tears of rain
or will I chase away Cancer's pain
  from Halloween Queen named Kellee?
Are we blinded by light or can we see?
Do we suffer forever or are we set free?
Will our shadow creator ever let us be?
Lie
Found this here this morning
carelessly flung
on the living room floor
fallen I fear
from one of our pocket’s
a random lie
left over
but ill begotten

hold my hand
draw me close
lift her veil
offer my love
beyond the shallow
on the grail.

Grace
where did we go
so far across oceans
that we forgot about the fruit
of our backyard tree?
I want to go somewhere
despite this proclamation
The bottles in mirrors
in bar light infinity
Alchemy potions to
bring you serenity.
She looks at you, smiles,
spins straw into lead
I doubt all I once knew
realize I'm finally dead.

If only you could understand
Whatever I have to say
I'm sure that you could see
Many things my way

And if only I could understand
Whatever you have to say
I'm sure that I could see
Many things your way

How far must the honey bee roam
To find an elusive flower,
And return to his honeycomb?

How long must a tumbling stone
Through a lonely landscape scour,
To realize its conclusive home?

How many do their fate bemoan,
Amidst the dark and latent hours,
Staining tears upon their cheekbones?

How do those, resting on their thrones,
Convince all of their own power,
And feign to know all that which is known?

Do we have power all our own?
Our own reasons to scour?
How far ahead is our fate sewn?

Do we let ourselves be enthroned,
To be a humble wallflower?
Or do we let ourselves be flown,
Into a troublesome unknown?
