Or my unrequited dreams,
You haven't seen my failure,
Or witnessed me endure,
You don't hear my heartbeat,
Or the patter of my feet,
You can't feel my nerves on end,
Or see how my fingers bend,
You don't know my secrets,
Or memories I'd like to forget,
You haven't heard me sigh,
Or stifle a small cry,
You've seen me everyday,
Said you love me in every way.
But how can that even be,
If you still don't know me?

I don't know you,
Or the hurt you've been through.
I haven't seen your tears,
Or been with you all these years.
I never watched you struggle,
Or listened to your troubles.
I don't know the beat in your chest,
Or how you wish it would rest.
I never felt your pain,
Or that internal rain.
But I know your scars,
They were written in the stars.
Like the ones that riddle my arms,
Such horrible bad luck charms.
I don't even know you,
But I pray that you'll fight through.

His mustache twitches,
His monocle gleams,
With the tap of his cane
It's Silent.

His pea-coat is ironed,
His buttons shined,
With a wave of his hand
It's Silent.

His expression falls,
His slacks wrinkling,
With a hands to his chest
He's Silent.

The dirt rises far up above my head
The worms laugh; I will soon be dead.
My shovel is far beyond my grasp
Filth fills up my lungs as I gasp.
Who’s hand to lift me from this cold grave?
Who’s but the one which to all I gave.
But this saving hand no longer comes
Dirt continues to gag my lungs.
How can I escape this hole I made
When I created this fate

With shovel and *****?

Her mind was filled with clutter,
Rainy clouds that bellowed thunder.
They loomed above like sad balloons,
On top her heart and head, cruel goons.
Until one day he cleared the clutter,
Took her heart and cleaned its gutters.
The storm clouds in her head then parted,
With his light, her life finally started.

A downer.

A listener,
A follower.

I am so many things,
A mixture,
A freak.

You're an abscess,
A cyst.
You make me wish
You didn't exist.

I remember your face like it was yesterday,
But the days keep pushing you further away.
Your laughter a silent echo in my mind
Of the life I so reluctantly left behind.
Your smile haunts me like a ghost at night,
Flickering for a moment in memory just in spite.
If reaching out over the miles were possible, I would,
I'd come back and stay, if only I could.

I sacrificed everything for you
And what do I get?
You're pulling away from me,
Putting me out like a cigarette.
Sure, it started out okay,
Just like anything does.
You were happy, affectionate,
I felt it, like a buzz.
But now the buzz is fading fast,
And I fight for your love.
Like a boxer, broken and defeated,
I'm putting down my gloves.

Here's to lost memories,

Whispers over the phone,
The boy that saved my life.

Melodies from the heart,
The boy with a knife.

A summer to remember,
The boy that meowed.

Singing in the car,
The boy that never frowned.

Sleepless nights,
The girl I grew up with.

Ghost hunting,
The boy who believed in myths.

On a city so free,

My eyes betray me,
They follow the motion of his hands,
They trace the curve of his back.

Willing traitors, to touch his face.

To rub my face into his beard,
To breathe in the scent of him.
My mind calls mutiny,
Searches for ways to escape him.

Divide and conquer,
Bludgeon the whole.
Engulf the masses,
Malice untold.
Blood on the ground,
Screams in the air.
A ghost in iron armor,
Approach if you dare.

Her hand grows cold in mine,
Dad says it's time to say goodbye.

A soft smile still on her face,
Peace and serenity, she leaves this place.

Solemn faces blend into the crowd,
She falls in slow motion into the ground.

Air grows stale, the sky begins to cry,
I'm still waiting for the sun to shine.

Masquerading as a boy,
Putting on masks of joy,
Playing me, your human toy.

Clenching hands into fists,
Thrashing out rage in your fits,
Pretending I don't really exist.

When my mind can't unwind,
When I'm at my darkest
At my brightest.

But my brain is awake,
Dreaming up memories.

Whom I've not seen in years,
Left behind in a moment,
Haunting me.

That I so desperately want
Beside me?

Why is it that
Every time I see you
Something in me breaks,
Something in me is set free.

Why is it that
Every time I'm near you,
I want you to get closer
I want you to see all of me.

I'm such a coward,
Using poetry as a means
To say my feelings
Without bursting the seams.
I could just talk,
Say hello and reconnect.
I could mend previous bridges,
Build over what I wrecked.
I can't get over my fears
It's there no matter what I do.
All I have is this hope
That it's getting to you.

He paints the sky in diamonds
And paves his ground in money,
His light is made of gold,
His disposition always sunny.

He floods the sea in silver,
Dots the flowers in pearls,
His eyes are brilliant sapphire,
They see the entire world.

He looks past the dusted coal,
His life is made of rubies,
Around him people are rusted,
But he is made with beauty.

It's racing through my blood,
