Tiny
Diego A S Apr 2017
And within those tiny minutes I sowed a tiny love, one that tiny attention would nourish, and tiny thoughts would grow, for between those tiny seconds I finally saw in that tiny girl, a love that of anything, tiny would not be.

Old man
Diego A S Apr 2017
It shook my heart watching them go,
the time was short, it was nothing at all.
I said my goodbyes until I got to him,
and there he stood, ready to leave.

I hugged him, with a strength that meant love, I wasn't planning on leaving him empty, but what he left me will forever take a toll.
In his strength, the plead of a man that feels time slipping off, it was the hug of a man reluctant for all he loved to go. And though he had everything to lose, love is his only currency, and the only thing he came for. A rich man he is, and as a rich man he'll someday go, for the only thing that comes with us at life's end, is but memories and hope, for a once again, and for a bit more love.

I'm standing on the edge of my well,
the well of my future.
It is as dark as uncertainty,
as deep as possibility.

Human.
Diego A S Apr 2017
I am who I am today. Half prey of circumstance, half a result of my will. Human.

I am living in the context of my life, defined by temporal conventions that much too often merge good with 'acceptable', and wrong with 'intolerable'.

There was never a guideline. There was never a book containing rules that we could follow on the certainty that we were doing what we came here to. No. We arrived to this world naked and alone, only left with life and consciousness to water the seed of our existence: the pursuit of truth.

Tonight I had a dream,
a dream of dread and loss.
Everyone on their places,
everyone on their roles.
The homeless Fox,
the maneless Lion,
and the tagless Dog.
Everyone's there,
everyone but me.
I'm the nameless animal,
all pity and praise on him.
See me as I laugh, see me as I cry.
As I have all of them
as guests in my mind.
