time isn't the enemy.
time isn’t an enemy.
time is a friend that should be
wholeheartedly embraced.
it makes moments-
the ones you never want to end-
finite.
it makes them worth remembering
specifically because
they do not last.

time will continue even if you do not.
it’s harsh ways keep people
from feeling scars as
fresh bullet wounds. instead,
it fades.
the pain fades.
it’s a pinch, instead of a bullet that
tears your ribcage into splinters.
it’s survivable pain.
the past is the past
and the present isn't so unbearable.
the past is the past
and the future is bright.

I tell myself I will write something new everyday but it's all a lie.

Oh dear, I have become a monster to my self.
In other news, my depression has gotten out of hand and I feel demotivated to write poetry.

Sarah
I'd light a deep
orange
candle, draw
back the curtains,
let the moon
beams
tip-toe
in

I'd be hopeless,
longing,
yearning
for the touch of
your white
skin-

I'd be pulling up
the covers,
quilts,
the pillows and their
feathers

That's what I
would do
If it were to
rain
forever
Happiness is an enigma
It is the joy in your heart
When the illusion of continuity
Plays havoc with your perceptions
The child or grandchild is only metaphorically you
Close resemblance notwithstanding my dear
You, a quivering arrow, were shot ahead so have no fear
Your child, or child of your child, is, like you, a message to the future
And happiness is a feeling of seeming well-being and equilibrium
Borne on wings of optimism and transitory like the seasons
Happiness is the sparkle in the eyes of loved ones
Brought about by your presence in a room filled with experiences
For everyone, no matter what, needs a witness
The great feats of our lives are nothing unless chronicled
By silent witnesses and scribes who see and wonder so as to tell
Happiness is a hot meal served generously on a smiling platter
And spiced with the verve of their eagerness to please and to love
Happines is many things besides, but above all it is elevation
To the dizzy heights of apparent permanence in a passing world
Happiness comes easily when we do the simple things of life
That elude those who are forever looking for complications
When you're happy it makes me trusting, peaceful and contented
Yet, in my desperation I may have imagined what pleases me most
But, as they say, 'it is well' - everything may, after all, be just a mirage
He said "Yea, you know you're right.
You cross my mind and I think of you
While I'm at work and when I'm on the road
And sometimes I dream of you too.

But you really need to relax with all of these poems you write of me
Get a grip, it wasn't that serious
You've even said it was mostly a physical attraction
And I honestly think you've become a little delirious.

You change your mind so much it's unbearable
You write about me every day
I only come on here to make sure you haven't completely lost it
And of course to see what you think of me today.

It really is flattering, you know
To read how torn apart you are from me
And how you feel like you can't move on sometimes
Because I really didn't do much of anything.

You want an apology and a confession
But you won't get it and that's what kills you
You want a dude to keep running back
Only because that's what you're used to.

But I have way too much pride for that ****
And you already know that I've moved on!
I moved on before we ended our little affair
And that's why I haven't called since you've been gone.

You don't feel ****, *****. Let's be honest
Well at least, I know it's not me you're feeling
Stop wasting your time with all of these sad rhymes
It's irritating that I read them and feel like I owe you my pitty".
