I dedicate my life trying
To write my thoughts into letters
Forever attempting to
Make those words fathomable to you

Your silence as crashing waves
All that you do not say
In you, I've finally found
Words to write, thoughts to think

Why do you say you're tragic
If anyone took the time
They'd see you as beautiful
As the sky and stars above

Your eyes are quite something
They say so much and yet a lot hidden
Beneath those smiles of laughter and love
What pain and regrets do they conceal?

I want to know it all.

.
Once a little boy woke up scared,
crying and calling for his mother.
Once an adult man woke up scared,
crying and calling for his lover.

For the boy there is no answer,
his mother is just never there.
For the man there is no answer,
his lover being just thin air.

You see the little boy is now a man,
who only ever wanted to be loved.
The adult man was the little boy,
who only ever needs to be loved.

So put your arms around the child,
show him love and teach him joy.
And put your arms around the man,
remember, he really is just a little boy.

We really didn't need
another study
into the Placebo Effect,
but it
made the researchers
feel better.
Barely a poem, really, but it made a change from the recent miseryverse in my feed.

Inkveined
I can tell my secrets to the paper and it won't betray me

I can write my soul into the ink and I won't, misportrayed, be

A strong desire of mine is this:

To meet people like ink and paper is my wish
Wrote this late last year
