Basking in the sun
Savoring bliss of solitude
Heron on one leg

Odd man out
At the lion's funeral
Laughing hyena

Cutting the trees
The leaves fall
Rather instantaneously
Not from the branches
But from the roots

She spoke with such
sadness,
did she not know
I could resolve the
sadness?

EVEN THOSE SLEEPING PILLS DON'T WORK, OH YES,
I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS IT TENSION, DEPRESSION OR STRESS!!

I can call you nice things
And whisper for more
Whisk the rhyme
The lines
Explain the meaning
Of the score
Of the musicality

Words fly o'er me
Like quills think
To write a Shakespearean soliloquy

Love's is a senseless verse
La dee da
Goes the dirge

My life is like a mobile
Above the crib of life
Swinging free in the AC's gentle breeze
As the music softly plays

Batted by the world
As I twirl in childlike wonder
Overhead where my dreams are kept
Black and white in color

In my youth, I could accept it
Tripping the light fantastic
Now it's cut-outs of paper clouds
Spinning everlasting
