Sheer silks rise and fall
Pleasure wrapped in dulcet tones
Joy beads down her brow

This haiku is dedicated to Hedone, the Goddess of Pleasure.
Other than her being the daughter of Cupid and Psyche, there isnt much on her either. Pleasure has many connotations, mich like her own name also so what better way than to play around with it!
These haikus sure are fun to do!

Be back tomorrow with another one!
Much love,

The only candle flickered and extinguished...
Shrouding the room in a pitch black garment.

But then... But then...
A hundred fireflies showed up outside of the window giving light!

And the inhabitants of the lonely house learnt hope!

May your darkness be filled with the light of hope! Thank you for reading:) ❤
How often at night my soul lays awake in bed...
Reaching out to the hollow emptiness...

How my mind gets numb and the heart beats in horrible pace!

The three things broke me... Yet has kept me alive!
The ticking of the clock...
The childhood trauma...
And His return...!
            ~V.Venandi
Those sleepless nights
Where I see myself
Cradled into the ugliest memory.
Bleeding over the unheard agony,
Penetrating deep into my soul
Crying over the faded flickering light.

Shattered ardour,
Weakened yearning
Hopeless woman
Gone the divine.

I broke out the chain
of torturing evocation.
Unfurled my pinions,
Soared over the sky.
Unearthed the pieces
that you've buried beneath.

I'm back to life sturdy and still,
I'm over you and I really do!
Don't ask me when
Nor take me back.
I find no way
to the old misery.
A poem inspired when I freed myself from the shadows of yesterday.

amanda
there’s a select group of humans
who’ve learned
that it’s easier to bleed
than it is to feel
for the record—
i’m actually thriving
right now

but i remember how bad
it used to be
Tonight, I have fallen in love
with a flamboyantly handsome man,
a powerful, robust man full
of charm, warmth, and imagination,
vessel of determination and amazing intelligence.
I have found my soul within him,
his perfectly wise and ambitious mind,
his tall, thoughtful, and intriguing presence,
his pure and skillful hands.
He is the harmonious, ecstatic song of my life,
so magically creative,
so incredibly glorious,
the man with the loveliest lines
to a movie script.
I love him as much as
I love azure, boundless seas,
how he is interesting and majestic
like the mountains,
how he is rare, luminous
like the stars and moon,
how he is eternally luscious
and inviting like the landscape
that shimmers outside my home.
And he is my favorite masterpiece,
so exquisitely made,
immortalized on canvas
in the most profound way,
all the man that I need
to escape to the greatest
galaxies of superlatively
thrilling romance.
